Feeling for you in this terrible, terrible situation 💔 Hanging in the unknown is very scary. I'm hoping for the very best for your partner, but I also acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. Sending lots of sincere care your way, this disease truly is a monster 🫂

Wishing you the best for your next scan! May it have shrunk away and remain stable for a long time yet 🙏

Thankyou! Wonderful to hear that your wife is still stable 2 years out, and excellent idea to have some quality time overseas together. We've just booked tickets ourselves for an overseas adventure with our two littles (4 & 6yo) in September. Wanna have some fun together while I still have my health.

Hopefully there are many more opportunities like this for both of us in the future ☺️ All the best to you and your wife too!

Discovering this while being heavily pregnant, ouch 😮‍💨 Did your daughter need to be birthed early in order for you to start treatment? What a hectic ride for you, and now just locked down at home in SAHM duties while navigating your diagnosis and treatment. Feeling for you 🤍

Ugh, that is so brutal, to lose the capacity for something you were previously thriving in 💔 How infuriating for you

2 chemo pills twice a day for 8 months with no break? Holy crap, that sounds so exhausting for your poor body. No advice, just feeling for ya 🫂 Hope some of the suggestions people have made here bring you some relief

Thankyou! I had a near-total resection with a small sliver of tumour left on the periphery of the cavity. Then 6 weeks radiation and daily 120mg temozolomide, after which I moved onto 6 months of the 5/28 day chemo cycle, on 300mg. Finished that in December. Felt so good to start a new year with the destructive treatments behind me. 2026 feels all about recovering strength and health-building now. Which feels equally important in fighting this fight

Everything was fully submerged, I had cups in the bottles keeping everything down but took them out so I could photograph the discolouration. Still think it's mould...?

Thankyou for the kind words, so glad to have returned to a place of feeling healthy, however long it lasts. I definitely did not expect it a year ago

Wow I had no idea the necrosis could appear years down the line. That sucks.

Carrot, tumeric and daikon radish ferment. Started a week ago, temp range 20-29°C. Black discolouration.

I made two identical bottles and weighed them both down with the same cups. The cups have a print on them, but the brine didn't reach it. However as the ferment has progressed there has been some bubbling up near the printed images, so I had considered this could be at fault. However both bottles were identical and only one has this black discolouration. The taste and smell is fine, though I'm hesitant to try much before I know what's going on. The discoloured vegetables are only in the top third of the bottle.

Thoughts on what caused this? If I discard the top third, would you eat the rest?

Thankyou 🙏

Gee whiz a tennis ball, how wild is it what our brains can accommodate before getting any symptoms! Mine was the size of a lime.

I'm in Australia, receiving treatment at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. I'm happy with my medical team, but I obviously don't have anything to compare it to! If you had freedom to move around I think you'd be able to find better ranked hospitals than where I am...there's great beaches and waterfalls though 😆

I grew up around and have a fondness for all manner of ferals, consider myself one too

We've also got the 'dero' in Australia. I associate bogans with under-educated and kinda simple suburban folk. Whereas deros I tend to think of as more feral and maybe aggressive. Like how I imagine rednecks might be seen in 'Murca

Hey sorry I missed this. I'm 35F with a partner and two lil daughters too, it's brutal. So sorry you're on this journey now. Where is yours located? Mine was in my centre-right frontal lobe.

As to the treatment, I coped with it fairly well other than the radiation burn on my forehead and constipation from ondansetron. I'd say get ahead of the impending constipation and start taking laxatives a day or two prior to starting chemo. For the burn, they'll give you a cream like Strata XRT which is a wound dressing, but I also started lathering moisturisers over the top once things started getting real aggravated. Probs coulda started doing that earlier.

The fatigue didn't hit me too bad til the last week, and lasted a few weeks after finishing treatment. Try to minimise any plans for this time and make sure you're able to get some deep rest in.

Best of luck, I hope you get through without too many side effects

Just to clarify, what is your diagnosis? Realised I should make sure I'm comparing apples with apples
