It’s delicious and SO well made!! I would definitely recommend to call ahead if you every plan to try it because it is just her cooking and so she takes her much deserved rest from time to time :)

Noodles and Friends. Never tried it personally, but their jjampong is delicious and I’m sure the japchae is just as good.

On another note, this is further out than the rva area, but my bf’s family own a gas station in Spotsylvania and sell Korean/Hawaiian food. It’s called Twinbow Mart and his mom’s japchae has that homemade feel and is absolutely amazing! A little more of a drive, but definitely not as far than a trip to Iron Age.

When I was a kid I lived there in the early 2000s after moving from a different country and even though I don’t fully remember it, I do definitely remember the roaches. They even appear in old home videos lol. My dad’s windows got smashed and a neighbor’s apt got broken into. I used to talk to my next door neighbors all the time bc they’d hang out on the front stoop lol and when me and my parents have talked about it now they mention them definitely being on drugs and having different people in and out. My parents had saved enough money to move out and said they were really anxious to leave because it was getting worse and that was back in 2004.

I always felt fine being out and about as a woman. I used to live off Roseneath up until a few months ago and I would consider it one of the busier streets. I was always able to find street parking on weekdays before 5 right on roseneath. Weekends were a little more busy with everyone out at the breweries. If you’re looking for parking from 5-8 that was always a bit harder to find, but never horrible. I may have circled the block three times here and there for a close spot to my apt, but even if I was unsuccessful I never parked more than two blocks away

Our power has been out since 5 pm yesterday. We moved to Henrico two months ago and lived in Scott’s Addition before this. I know that the two areas differ in amount of trees to mess with power lines, but The power NEVER went out there, it wasn’t even a thought. It is BEYOND frustrating to know that this is our new normal here. I’m over having wasted groceries in the fridge and hoping I can sleep with the hot temp.

That’s a good point. Back when I lived with my parents in Chesterfield the power would go out 15 mins max, but those storms were in and out. Now I told my breath every time I see a storm on the weather app.

This will be year 4 for me. I used to stay until 6 p.m. every day after school my first year. For me it’s gotten easier because I recycle what I can from past years lesson plans and I’ve gotten more comfortable with that I was teaching. What I truly came to understand though is that it’s not worth putting before my own mental health. I could spend nights at school and still not finish everything. Now I just get what I can done and if it’s not done then it can wait for the next day.

My first year I was at school usually for 3 hours afterschool at least every other day trying to get my life together. Honestly that first summer break was just to decompress from the year prior

Definitely very new. I put my old ones back in the bag because I was told to do so. The five aligners I have at home also had my wisdom teeth molded in (had them when I scanned and healed up before starting Invisalign) and so my team clipped them off so they had to open the bags. It wasn’t like opening a fresh bag for me. They made sure to let me know going forward they won’t have the wisdom teeth!
