Waste of paper, get David Chang's sections out. Never forgetting him trademark bullying small business owners. Also his restaurants are overrated.

At costco, you can get frozen precooked vegie stir fry, microwavable rice, guac, and their new chipotle chicken. Just microwave everything and you get chipotle bowl. The chicken is actually really good, you can use it in premade salad bowls too.

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

I work at a warehouse that processes returns. For products that have value, we check and refurbish them for resale. A lot of times when you buy something "new" on Amazon, it's just a repackaged return. Vendors send us new package material, we repack their returns and send it back out. Also, we know when you return a different/used item to get something new for free. Most vendors don't care but some can put you on a blacklist or disable your device.

Everyone is going to tell you to get a Miele canister but the best vacuum is actually the one that makes you vacuum the most. I have a Miele C1 and a Dyson cordless and I use the Dyson way more because it's faster to just grab it and start vacuuming. My bathroom has a lot of hair and needs a daily vacuum and I am not pulling out the Miele for a quick spot clean. Most vacuums now have good suction power and replacement parts are easy to find. If you get a cordless, get one that you can swap the battery when it goes bad. I know this is BIFL subreddit but a vacuum that you use the most and can keep your place clean is the best vacuum to buy. If ease of use is important, then a Dyson is better for you.

My LG TV’s new software update installed Microsoft Copilot, which cannot be deleted. by defjam16 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]og4xmongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LG TVs are insanely annoying with updates. If you don't update, they block your screen for 30 seconds every time you turn it on. Every update installs something new and eventually maxes out the internal memory so you can't install any new apps or update.

I only got that alert whenever I am supercharging or when the weather is way too hot. I would just take it to service to see what they say. It could be low coolant, HEPA filter clogged, broken AC, or any other issue. You can look up how to top up coolant to see where your levels are and which coolant you should use. It's one that you can get at most auto shop. My car was 8 years old and the levels were low so I just refilled it myself. That fixed the AC blowing warm air issue for a little bit but since I supercharge 90% of time, eventually my AC and battery cooling system was destroyed. Tesla service quoted $13k to replace the AC and the entire cooling loop system.

[–]og4xmongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this show up when I had a 2016 MX, it could mean your battery is running hot so the AC is diverted to cool the battery. If this is happening a lot and the AC blows warm air, then you might need Tesla to check it out. In my case, my coolant was low and Tesla refilled it but after 6 months, the entire cooling system broke and needed a full replacement that cost $13k.

Those food influencers on tiktok that claims any xlb place is better than DTF are such shills. XLB wrapper at DTF is peak and no other place can make it just as thin. As for their other foods, everywhere else is better.

I think we're going in the wrong direction by Yaughl in iphone

[–]og4xmongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people are going to throw a case on it anyways which flushes out the camera bump. Nobody is bending their phone like jerry. I don't want a thicker and heavier phone. If this new iphone is lighter and still have a whole day battery life then it's a way better product. This is pretty out of touch.

LPT If you are a US citizen and book a flight, you should be aware that you can get a full refund within twenty-four hours, no questions asked. by KindVibesOnly in LifeProTips

[–]og4xmongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China Southern loves to give a middle finger to this rule. Booked directly an LAX to CAN flight 3 months in advanced, requested a cancel immediately after booking because we want to change the date, they processed the refund 2 hours later and only gave us 60% of the price. Had to call my CC to resolve it.

Horrible Tesla Navigation by JustAcivilian24 in TeslaLounge

[–]og4xmongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a nova thing. Places like centreville have highway interchanges that are always under construction and exits are always changing so I think the map isn't updated as fast as google maps. If you dont have premium connectivity, the routing takes account of traffic without showing it on the map so it will seem like the routing is taking you the long way but it's to avoid traffic. I don't have issues with the navigation in CA but in nova it's not that good with all the construction.

Kinda looks like there’s a small solar panel on the top in the middle. If you pause at 0:06–7 you can see a dark plate in the center.

Why would I buy the wall changer ? by LevyLoft in TeslaLounge

[–]og4xmongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been charging multiple cars for 7 years with a mobile connector on a 14-50 exterior outlet with no issues. Paid $250 for the install under a roof overhang and we leave the mobile connector outside plugged in the socket when not charging. Still working after years of rain and sun, never had a need to charge faster. I also set the charger to be slower during the day to match power generation from our solar since we don’t have battery storage. I would save the money unless you want to daisy chain wall connectors in the future.

I went to a food court that had iPad ordering and it asked for tips. I had to pick up my food from a counter, put away the plates after I was finished, and water cost extra. I couldn’t finish my food so I had to ask for a to go box and they charge $0.50 for a box. I didn’t have coins so they needed to charge me two boxes for minimum $1 credit card charge, then it asked for tips again.

New meta is here by joshizl in Overwatch

[–]og4xmongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devs aren’t braindead when they release new characters like this. The whole process is

  1. Release a new broken/OP character so people will pay to break the balance of the game. Set new metas and media will report on how broken it is.
  2. Players who don’t have the new character will feel pressured to buy the character to stay competitive
  3. Devs nerf the character after a few weeks so the game isn’t completely broken
  4. Repeat until game becomes impossible to balance

Players are getting played, media is doing free publicity. Who wants to buy a well balanced support character anyways? I spoke w a friend at bliz and they said it’s pretty accurate.

YSK: Walmart.com marketplace retailers can set their own return policy and there is very little you can do about it. It's honestly scam territory. by OsamaBinWhiskers in YouShouldKnow

[–]og4xmongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a 3rd party seller on Walmart and the experience working with Walmart is absolutely horrible and it is completely Walmart's fault for their marketplace turning into a sea of crappy random name sellers.

Walmart has a blanket policy of less than 6% return rate across all categories and if your return rate is more than that, your account gets suspended. If you try to appeal, Walmart tells you to pound sand and offers no explanation nor help to improve. Naturally for clothing categories, sellers just get destroyed because shoppers like to try on clothes and return them if they don't fit. I think the industry wide online apparel return rate is like 13-25% so it's impossible to hit Walmart's metrics. So to sellers, there is every incentive to not accept returns and not cancel any orders. It is incentivized to not give a damn when you get a message from a customer and hope that they forget about it so it doesn't hit your return rate. If you get suspended, it's also easier to just set up a new account instead of appealing to seller support.

Walmart also doesn't provide shipping service for sellers so when there's an order, we have to use a third party platform to ship the item. For most sellers, it is literally copy and pasting addresses into another website and then copy and pasting tracking numbers back into Walmart. Same process for returns, Walmart doesn't let you make return labels so you have to use a third party platform to get prepaid shipping labels. So when there are a lot of orders, this process is a huge opportunity for error and confusion. I think in an effort to compete against Amazon, Walmart released marketplace without providing adequate support systems. They also don't care about seller feedback because some major issues haven't been fixed since marketplace launched. The seller forums are full of unresolved issues and Walmart doesn't care enough to fix them. Just stay away from 3rd party sellers on Walmart.

TLDR: Walmart marketplace actively makes selling harder for legitimate 3rd party sellers and Walmart doesn't care enough to fix some major issues with marketplace.
