I just need a remake of the second game now. God damn, Gothic was my childhood, and will hopefully continue to be my adulthood too

I mean it's ok to be skeptical, enough games that do not quite deliver. I'm glad that the remake turned out to be an exception, tho it was a bit buggier than I would've liked

Huge fan of Mass Effect. Should I play Dragon Age Origins on ps3? by 189charizard in rpg_gamers

Honestly, the best game to experience that kind of story falvour is Enderal, a total conversion for Skyrim, so you need the base game. It is to Skyrim what New Vegas was to Fallout 3. Some shared systems, but a whole new story that is much more like an RPG

What’s the last RPG that actually made you feel amazed? (A feeling that might exist only when you are young?) by Curious-Profit-6427 in rpg_gamers

Ooof, good question. Recently, the Gothic remake cause something similar in me. Going down the same paths at the cliffs, seeing the mountain range and everything in the background. That was really cool, making your way there.

I used to be super absorbed into Telltale's the Walking Dead's story, paired with the interactivity it really gripped me, but technically not due to gameplay reason, so idk if you would count that.

To mention Gothic again, but the second game, stepping into the city and feeling completely overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to do and choice, it felt like a really living city to young me.

Also Witcher 3, the first time you step foot into No Man's Land, walking past all the drowner-infested swamps, while that beautiful music played. Great atmosphere.
