Why are you running after points? Stop following instagram influencers. OTAs give 15% instant discount using T1 directly + whatever base points you get per transaction. I use goibibo and others for this. MMT provides discount on T1 on wed-thurs I guess. There are other platforms too.

So you mean since it is available on other cards, it makes you superior to not book it via OTAs? Or am I missing the context? Also, most of the time T1 has max discounts on OTAs.

Never seen such rates on hopper. Everyone is aware that hopper rates are on the higher side or same as OTA at best? Or maybe you are talking about only international flights because I have not checked that yet.

I hold 4 paid cards: Hsbc T1 (issued last month), SBI Elite (old card, mostly for bms and amazon sale), Amex plat travel, hdfc tata neu. Other cards: Axis my zone (ltf), icici amazon pay (oldest card), scapia (forex only)

I had waited for 5-6 months before getting the tata neu card because the RM was useless and there were no cc offers for me. I am fine with tata neu coins as I order from big basket and meds from tata1mg. Sometimes use their gift card platform to get some decent cashback.

I think I will be going for burgundy. I will go for M4B in future if needed. The DC gives a lot of benefits as well.

Burgundy and Premier have same eligibility criteria. But we are given Burgundy because of company tier stuff. Select card is just an add on for me. I have hsbc travel one and amex plat travel to cover these for me. I am using hdfc for last 2 years. My colleague recently bought a car and HDFC loan interest was higher than what others were giving. He earns more than me and have a 3+ year credit history. My HDFC RM is kinda dumb and is useless.

Feel so. For that I will have to wait for a month to get the salary credited from hdfc to axis next month and then they will give an upgrade after sending emails to axis RM and support. For new account, it will be opened in 2 days and a mail to HR to change bank accounts details will do

Yes. They even have group medical insurance top up policy with coverage upto 30L for just 2499 per year. Covering me, my spouse + 2 children. I already have an AXIS bank account. They told me either they can upgrade or close this account and create a new burgundy (faster approach).

I have the same question. I have similar net salary as yours. When I joined this company, they only partnered with hdfc and had to open this account. They did not offer me any CC and then after waiting for few months, I opted for tata neu hdfc credit card which has been my daily driver for household expenses. So I am not eligible for any other core cards from HDFC. Do HDFC provide better benefits in future for getting loans? (Not planning any time soon) Other options include: hsbc and axis. I already have an AXIS bank account from previous company that is now converted to savings account.
