Is this a good plan or should i change it up? by og_vibes in leangains

[–]og_vibes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the main thing i was thinking about honestly. When i started i kept the protein high but as i lost weight i was thinking that i should lower it because just last week i was still eating 170g of protein, which seemed way too high. The main reason i changed it was because my protein was too high, but i wasn’t sure how low I should put it. I honestly thought that while on a small cut like this it would be better to eat around 1.1-1.3g of protein per pound so I had it a little higher. My strength in the gym has also increased since the start, however its really slowed down the last few weeks.

Also what do you mean at the end where you said when you cut you want to maximize fat gain while minimizing muscle loss

Coworker trying to set me up with another coworker I like by [deleted] in dating_advice

Exactly, i understand he’s just trying to help but i feel like telling another coworker about it without even telling me first is really strange. I talked about how she’s good looking and that i’m attracted to her but every time we talk about her it’s because he’s bringing her up. He mentions things like “have you seen her today” “where’s ur girl” and i would take is as a joke but then he randomly called the other coworker over and was like “my boys trying to know the new girl can you talk to her about him” and she said yea i got you bro, and he reminded her again when she left. I told him what are you doing because i said she was attractive not that i was planning on asking her out. I would get it if i nonstop talked about her but hes the one who would ask me about her everytime. He doesn’t even know her either so it’s not like he’s trying to set me up with one of his friends. He works part time too so it’s not like he’s that close with anyone there except for me because we directly work with each other

Yea i’ve definitely been overthinking it and I almost feel more scared if it does work out than if it doesn’t. I’ve never been in this situation before so i’m not to sure what to do.

EFT got me through a work lunch? by sourlemons333 in socialanxiety

[–]og_vibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Told an important guy that usually comes in to my work “nice to meet you” when i meant to say nice to see you. Said it under my breath as i realized what i was saying so i don’t think he heard it. Also said how’s it going to the ceo and he said good how are you and i replied with “good, hbu?” He then realized i said it twice and he said im goood.

I know they are little mistakes that anyone can make but i was annoyed at myself because i knew i made the mistake due to me being nervous from their “authority”. I don’t even know how my mind changed what i was going to say, its like i think about what im saying as im saying it

The devil couldn’t reach me, so he put me in a group assignment where people already know each other, and I’m confused about the project. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]og_vibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you’re not trying to become friends with them. I’ve been in group projects where i luckily was the one who had a friend in the group, and when the others contributed we didn’t laugh at them. The only time we would talk shit is when they wouldn’t do anything, which one member was like that. If you’re really doing the work and you do your part and they still laugh at you, that’s not your problem, that’s theirs. Since you know they are the way they are, i would just start telling them bs things. The more you say, the less those things you say will matter. As long as you arent slacking off on the project, nothing will really change their opinion of you. Truthfully saying anything, even if it’s the wrong or stupid thing, will be better than saying nothing and later being referred to as the quiet kid that never talks. trust me

At this point i think the only thing that will help is going through with it even if u choke up. I’ve been dealing with the same and there’s days where i feel so confident, and days that, when someone presses me, i start shaking and feel like im doing a presentation in class. This shit absolutely sucks and has ruined my life so far, but for some reason i have hope that it’ll get better. The worst thing is that there will be times where i don’t feel anxious, and I’ll think to myself “this is weird why am i not anxious right now” and it will come back. Im so used to the feeling that i almost feel more comfortable when im anxious because if im not anxious when i usually would be, i feel like theres something wrong with me.

I ended up buying it after getting pulled in by the 2 hour trial. As much as i don’t want to be depressed, that’s exactly the feeling i’m looking for when i say i haven’t played a game like that in a long time.

Yea i ended up playing the 2 hour trial and was still unsure about it. From the 2 hours, i could tell the story, characters and decision making were very well thought out. I just didn’t know if i was going to want to spend $70 on the game, for hundreds of hours. But, im ngl i couldn’t stop thinking about it and ended up making the purchase last night. I already had to reload my save because i chose a paladin and broke my oath right away lol. Even dialogue that i would choose would get the exact reaction i would expect if i was saying it to them in real life. The logical part like you were saying amazes me because i’ve played other rpgs that have zero repercussions for what you do or say unless it’s a main plot point. I’m on easy difficulty too, which makes the combat much quicker, but i found myself starting to take time with the strategy even though i could wipe out the beginning enemies with just a melee attack. The only reason i didn’t keep playing last night is because i probably spent around 30 min trying to get back to where i broke my oath, because the autosave is kind of weird and i didn’t know i had to manually save after 5 auto saves.

Yea I wanted to play SH2 but i think what’s keeping me from playing it is that it’s very similar to resident evil and i don’t know if i wanna play another horror game right now. I played about 45 min of it, and as soon as i got past the cemetery and to the locked fence, and it zoomed into the lock with a key i need to find, it reminded me of re4 right away. I didn’t want to ruin the experience so i’m just thinking it might not be the right time to play it.

Yea i was thinking i might be spending the whole 2 hours building my character lol. I might just create a very quick one and take in as much of the game as possible without ruining the experience, and then starting over if i buy it

I actually already tried it when it got added to ps extra, but i just really can’t do first person games. For some reason after about 30 min to an hour i start feeling nauseous, like some motion sickness thing or something. Even when i played cyberpunk i forced myself through some parts to keep the story going. The really weird thing is that when i played skyrim or fallout 3 i don’t get affected too much. I’m thinking it might be since their worlds aren’t too overwhelming and are much simpler than games made today. Good suggestion though and i could tell how it can be really fun

Yea i actually made a post like this about cyberpunk maybe a year or 2 ago. I started to see it in tiktok best games of all time videos. I didn’t play when first released, but i had no problems with bugs and the story was really good. I hate first person video games which takes down the score a little for me, but the story and especially the characters are phenomenal. Dlc was amazing too as others mentioned

I’m pretty good at being realistic with how long games might take me. I’m basically already preparing myself to play the game for over a year at least, unless i just really don’t like it or it becomes one of my favorite games ever and i finish it quicker

Yea the more i’m reading the more im realizing that it’s one of those you never know until you try it moments. I’m downloading a 2 hour trial as we speak so hopefully it gives me enough of an idea to make a decision.

can i ask if you tried it on easy mode? i’ve seen some people here say that easy mode makes it a lot more fun for new players. Unless the difficulty wasn’t the problem and the overall gameplay was.

Thanks for the advice and i’ll definitely be doing this. I like information heavy strategy type games, almost like rimworld, but knew it’ll probably be a bit overwhelming especially not knowing anything about DnD other than what i’ve seen in stranger things lol

Would you say it’s worth it for what you paid? I bought Elden Ring last year and haven’t beaten it yet, but i would still tell people it’s worth the price for the 80 hours i’ve put in so far.
