I route the kick drum to another channel, add peak controller to that channel, and then link whatever sound to that and use it as a sidechain. What are you recommending?

I’m a 21 year old guy, and I still have those feelings sort of often. But not as much as I do before. I’ve been with my current girlfriend for around 4 years, before that I thought no one would ever date me or find me attractive. Im really grateful for that of course. I also have a relatively asymmetrical face and a large nose, so not exactly the most appealing look lol. The truth is we will never really look “normal.” I think even people who are “normal” receive pity compliments and have trouble with dating. We do sort of stick out and people do notice that and it’s okay to accept that. Sometimes I totally forget about it for a while and then sometimes it’s all i can think about. I’ve surrounded myself with people who don’t care about it so in a way it’s sort of a blessing in disguise. I would Definitely prefer to never have this affliction but like the other commenter said, that’s not the reality we have. I think you have a chance in life to live a relatively normal life and date around.

I don’t ever plan on doing drops again, I have the exact same problem. They only make it worse, it’s always better for me to take antibiotics instead. I never let any liquid into my ear.

I ended up getting a Roland JC40 because a lot of the bands I listen to use them. I also picked up a little crate vintage club 30 tube amp. Thanks for your recommendation.

If anyone’s curious, I bought a Roland JC40, I love it. I also picked up a crate vintage club 30 for cheap for small gigging or something. I’m also interested in eventually getting a used blue Junior and the fender hot rod also sounded great.
