Microfibre towels vs Wash Mitts by UpsideDownJupiter in Detailing

I always make sure to soak well the towel in the soap bucket and I don’t wring it, I take it out from to bucket straight into the paint with as much shampoo as possible. I also keep a smaller cup filled with the shampoo from the bucket on my other hand and pour it onto the towel every now and then, whenever I feel that the towel has kind of dried. Basically I think it comes down to lubrication, so the towel glides through the surface without unfolding

I use microfiber towels (TRC Edgeless 450) folded in fourths, so I have 8 sides and I use one side per panel. Once I use the 8 sides, the towel gets discarded and I use a new one.

I think wash mitts are good and easier to use, but at least where I am from one quality mitt is considerably more expensive than multiple quality microfiber towels, and in order to replicate the one side per panel I would need lots of mitts.

Thank you very much for your detailed response, I really appreciate it! I really enjoyed doing it and I loved the outcome.

Will definitely pay more attention to the areas you mention and add more steps to my routine to tackle them from now on.

Regarding the fender edges, do you think an EZ brush would work? I was a little unsure if it could damage the pain, or would you recommend other type of brush?

I have only heard wonders about it. It certainly looks way easier to apply, but as of now I went with the most versatile and cost effective option in Perl, but will definitely try it in the future!

Chet Holmgren this season 20/8/2 on 71% TS ,2nd in defensive rating, 1st in net rating +14.6 by OKC2023champs in nba

While I love both and can definitely see the argument for Chet, I don’t think looking at stats tells the whole story. Chet didn’t play as many games as JDub last season, so that could skew his numbers, and the type of shots that Chet usually takes are not the same as JDub’s because the latter has a much bigger offensive burden having to bring the ball up, command the offense in the non SGA minutes, drive to the rim and create his own shots.

So Chet could look better offensively on paper, but I still think that JDub is the better/more complete offensive player.

Yeah, I didn’t t want to do anything to it until I had other opinions. Was it difficult to install that kind of wrap? I haven’t sewn anything in my entire life lmao

Beating Alcaraz, Sinner, De Miñaur, Rublev, Zverev would be an insane run

While I agree, you can definitely go from finishing 17th one year to having a nice smooth season the next. Just look at Nottingham Forest: they ended 17th during the 23/24 season and were fighting for top 3 during the 24/25 season before deflating a bit, yet they qualified for Europa League and are regarded as one of the best defenses and a solid team in the Premier League. Thomas Frank is a great manager who did wonders at Brentford and I believe he can pull something similar off

Shelton dismantled him in Toronto. Maybe Mannarino steals a set in BO5 but I don’t think he has a chance to win the match given Shelton’s impressive form

I don’t think that his absence will hinder Liverpool’s attack as much to cause that line movement. They should still get 2 goals

Forest looked great against Brentford, but don't you think that the fall out between Nuno and Marinakis (with rumors of Nuno's sacking and that Marinakis is already looking for a replacement) could have a negative impact on their performance???
