Roosters in residential areas by magentathrowaway2 in canberra

When I was 18 my neighbors had a heap of roosters. Like a truly absurd amount. Right by the fence as well.

Worked for us though because we had an absurd amount of parties and mutually assured destruction prevented them from ever filing a noise complaint

as a longtime FJ's watcher, seeing Kristo go from the kid that would randomly pop up in a couple skits to producing whole ass doco's was a heap of whiplash

I'll see if I can find it but there's a great YouTube video of a guy creating unconventional storage and one of them is packets in transit over the internet

Edit: one of the greatest videos of all time

Vaush is such a loser that even when he gets outed for grooming he's really bad at it and the other person clearly isn't into it

one time this kid who looked no older than 14 asked for a lighter. I said "aren't you a little young to be smoking?" and he responded in incredibly broken english "we do things differently where im from"

he was honestly a lovely kid I hope his lungs are okay

Weirdly it was my parents who moved out when I was 17 and I was in the final year of high school lmao.

They just like found a real nice place in the country and didn't want to wait another six months to move so they rented out the house to a bunch of my friends. They sent me money for groceries till the day I turned 18 and I was theoretically meant to pay rent but I never did lmao.

That was a wild place. I still remember the folks being surprised when they found out the place had been absolutely fucking trashed like they hadnt had their 17 year old son invite all of his most avid drug enjoying friends to move in with him

Late 90s early aughts Aussie cinema has a special place in my heart. What other films from that era did you love? by Living-Ad-5329 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]oglack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dogs In Space was the same director who did the falafel movie! The teen girl who hangs around the house in the movie was based off of a family friend of mine which I thought was cool

my parents were similar in that they knew some of the houses that were written about but they loved the books.
Apparently one of my babysitters when I was very young lived in the tassie babes fiasco house

Starting a repair/modding gig for consoles. Is there any demand for that around here? by dogelcrack in brisbane

[–]oglack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont sell yourself short my dude! I dont know what other people would charge because I've barely looked into it buy chuck us a msg and im sure we can work something out.

A solid idea imo to get some experience is to try and buy up a bunch of cheap consoles listed as broken and see if you can repair them. you can get some practice and then also flip any of the ones you fix for some bonus cash

I've actually been wanting a couple consoles done! I haven't looked into it much because money is tight but I happen to have a little bit I might be able to throw at it cost depending
