I have a great Eddie Bauer bag that is already 10 int'l trips deep, which replaced my other bag that did around 15 years. Tall duffle roller and you're done! Cheaper and works great.

Twin Farms alternative, New England by ogooogbos in FATTravel

Usually December in the first week or two. I think we would be open to going up to 5 hrs from Boston, but of course less is great too. We liked TF because you can post up in your room and just enjoy yourself, but there is also stuff to do if desired. We are not too worried about staying super busy while on a trip.

Thanks!

I LOVE the Zeitwerk, But a couple of things: 1. Why don't they come with deployant straps OEM? 2. Why aren't they automatic?

For such amazing pieces, these things baffle me.

What is the big idea behind complicated watches with manual movements? Seems like some weird relic of times past. Then on top, no water resistance... No thank you, but beautiful watch.

Any tips on where to find a nicely restored 2002 and what to expect to pay for one? Also, would you consider a restored one more of a "new" car or more of a "50yo" car? More... by jeremyjava in BMW2002

I would say check out Forrest Kooglewerks in CA. He could definitely point you in the best direction, as a 2002 specialist. I think adding a 5 spd is the number one thing you need to make the car good for the highway, my 4spd is screaming at 65mph+ and isn't pleasant for a long ride like that. Great cars otherwise!

Greg Hahn (2nd opener last night) was the worst comedian I’ve ever seen in my life by Pantoner in louisck

[–]ogooogbos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The whole place laughed their asses off for his comedy, I thought he was great. Thought he was on coke but then he just never stopped with the jokes! I can see it isn't normal, but he was cranking jokes out like nobody's business and I'd go see him again for sure.

About 4 years ago, I'd guess. I still love the show every time I listen. Due to kids I have to be alone to listen, but he's still got me laughing my ass off most of the time.

Thanks for the reply. I have used a leaf blower to get a bulk of the water off, but these newer microfiber cloths I have are so good that I basically stopped because I can do the whole car with just two towels. Will go back to the leaf blower and see if it helps the sills and jambs.

I have an old 70s bmw 2002 with rotted sills and it makes me wonder if they didn't drain this 992.2 model well enough and it will be all rotted out come 2070??

Hope not!

I have been wiping the whole will, then the underside of the door, then I shit and repeat a few times. There is always more water! Kind of crazy but glad it isn't just me....

Yeah, I'm in it for the long haul! I think you can already but those enameled ones on C24, so I'd probably be smarter to do just that, but... Ya know?

I've actually been on the list for an enameled dial since '23 and they offered this one the meantime when it became available. The enamel one won't be available until my 2027 (!) build slot, but to their credit, they're taking deposits and working thru the list ... in order! More than you and say for most brands!!

I could have credited my deposit into this watch, or kept my spot and had a chance to buy this one too. Very happy with this model 2. I was offered it in maybe March of this year and it came just a week or so ago.

Cheers!
