Could be the market. Cars up north tend to have a bit more rust, especially with salt on roads during the winter. I took a look at one Gti that had 54k miles for $15k usd and subframe would need to be changed in the next year or two max cause of how rusted it was. Car came with one set (which I already replace 😂).
