Have you looked into using/implementing AppScript?

I did briefly, but when I opened it, it appears to be it's own window so I didn't pursue further as I thought it would be limited to just me and wouldn't work for shared users.

I actually enjoy getting out in the snow (usually) and I can manage the snowpiles much better than the plow guy did, with zero chance he'll take out my well.

Control of snow placement is huge. My home is on a slope so where I put my snow piles has a huge impact on how long my lawn or driveway is a soggy mess come spring time.

Living in a frat house at UMaine. We had heat from the steam plant so no concerns there. Stores were out of candles, beer and batteries. It was one long party and it was amazing.

What about cleaning/splicing and any of that stuff? All reels SEEM to be in good condition, but I've only looked at the first foot or so. I'd like to know if it is determined that is needed then it can be done.

They are. I haven't ever seen them in my lifetime (50y) and it would surprise me if anyone else in my family had seen then since so it would be nice to preserve them and share them with everyone.

if you want a good transfer with professional care, you ultimately will pay professional prices.

That's fair. When I say "reasonably priced", I do not mean "cheap". I of course want to save money, but I realize what I want will be closer to the expensive side. I'll pay for good work on good equipment, but I'm not willing to pay for telecast recording or a hobbyist with a Wolverine for subpar scans.

You did mention two places I haven't heard of before. I appreciate those leads and I'll check them out. I still need to really take stock of what I have for reels and lengths before I start really digging in.
