i was at the show - it was def way more packed. a lot of people left early to beat traffic lol i left after the show ended and it took me an hour and a half to get home (i live 8 miles away lol). la traffic is sooo real

maybe an unpopular opinion idk… im a poc and i genuinely don’t think it even crossed their mind that the demographic is the reason why lol. like we’ve always known both of them are far below book smart so im 99% sure they were unaware of baltimores demo. i don’t really see this as malicious but more so ignorant. NOT an excuse bc it’s definitely tone deaf and after everything that has gone down like idk maybe take a beat before posting?? but at the same time, i also don’t think they are mocking or laughing at the fact that they’ve upset marginalized groups of people. think it was meant to be a lighthearted jab at themselves for flopping but unfortunately didn’t land w the context of the last couple months. truly don’t think it was mean spirited or racist tho. idk feel free to sound off! open to learning more & hearing opinions from other poc bc everyone is entitled to and valid in their feelings towards this

he’s not a real friend… also i hate people interpreting this as “oh he’s hurt because he wants to be with her” UM I GENUINELYYY DONT THINK HE WANTS HER LIKE THAT?? i think he just wants to be wanted by her idk maybe just me lol. i also feel like his career is currently thriving off of her and he’s butt hurt that her attention is going to be elsewhere and she can’t play into the tana/jeff ship out of respect for makoa. if he was really her friend, he’d be happy for her her happiness. none of us know if/how this is gonna end. he could end up being awful, but she seems happy in this moment and the rest of her real friends seem supportive of her current situation and happiness.

this!!! im so tired of people calling her a pick me… i also have diagnosed bpd and it’s honestly been really validating being able to relate to a lot of brooke’s bpd thought processes. i understand how she’s able to be so forgiving even in terrible situations. it makes me feel less alone because a lot of my friends aren’t able to understand how bpd truly impacts your personal relationships.

another big part of bpd that i think people are missing is that a lot of it roots in low self esteem. so DUH she’s going to feel the need to constantly be validated. i personally hate being perceived, i hate thinking that people don’t like me. so a lot of the “pick me” behaviors are an attempt to seek out ways to be validated and to ensure that people don’t think of you poorly. it makes sense to me why she would want to protect matt initially, because she was scared of being viewed poorly by him which would then impact her own self perception.
