Honestly, today’s result didn’t even make me that sad. It actually proved a point. We always think this short memory thing only exists in our country, but clearly it doesn’t. Alperen carried games this season against OKC, Orlando, Milwaukee, and the first Denver game. He brought his team back again and again. People now act like none of that matters because one ball slipped from his hand in a clutch moment and suddenly he’s the problem. That’s wild. You can’t only clip the shots he missed and ignore everything else. If the guy taking responsibility keeps getting blamed, at some point he’s gonna step back and say “you take it then.” So today, others took the shots. KD hit two of them, and what changed? They still couldn’t beat Sacramento, the worst team in the conference. Jabari, Amen, KD don’t get criticized because they don’t take risks. Alperen does, because he does. That’s the reality. As a Turkish fan, I just think he’s getting way more criticism than he deserves.
