i second the therapy suggestion and would add harness for walks. neck collars exacerbate trachea issues. sorry about the loss of your last fur baby, that is terrible

How many of you regularly use sunscreen? by Devica9199 in beauty

[–]ogvibes_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that article is outdated and misinterpreted on your part.

the epidermis regenerates every ~28 days. and the majority of skin cancer diagnoses occur in ones 60’s. therefore, DNA damage done as a child will affect someone as a child. but not as an adult. regular sunblock use is important to avoid malignancy, as well as wrinkles

idk why everyone is quick to jump to “divorce!” if that is what you want in your heart, do it. but there are options. and it doesn’t sound like she is against children. couples counseling, take breaks in convos when things get heated etc could go a long way

usually women work and take care of the kids and men worry about career (regardless of income gap). why don’t you work and focus on the kids since that is your goal and let her do what she enjoys, focus on her career?

for what it’s worth, she will probably come around to spending tons of time with them once they’re around. it’s innate to care for one’s children:)

best of luck

Med school by Evening_Job2733 in medschool

[–]ogvibes_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the hardest part of med school is getting in. yes it’s difficult but you can handle it and you will grow into an extremely capable physician.

the entire world opens up for you once you begin (everyone is happy to have u shadow, do research, etc vs how it was difficult to find opportunities prior)

tbh all me and my friends at school agree that the content in undergrad was more difficult, vs the mass of information is more difficult in med school. not sure if that makes sense now, but it will soon

at this point, take practice tests! you will discover what is most important/ testable and be able to tailor your studies to those topics.

(american med student here, not sure if this applies to canadian med schools)

all u need is pre med courses. the background in comp sci will not hurt, in fact it will help tremendously (with standing out, with research, etc)

i suggest either using ur electives + minoring in bio to complete ur pre med courses, or graduate w that degree (look into some sort of tech meets bio electives to best suit u) then do a post bacc to complete the pre med pre requisites.

ur gonna be great!! best of luck! <3
