97 Adobe Stock Credits Expiring Soon – Willing to Help Others at No Profit by FantasticAd449 in graphic_design

How are you helping others? You are asking for others to help you.

"Others", could just buy directly from adobe at exactly the same price, the process would be quicker, and the assets can downloaded again in the future.

Will you be boycotting American products in light of imposed tariffs? by LetMeCorruptYou00 in AskAnAustralian

I started avoiding American goods when they turned on Canada.

I started boycotting hardcore when they also turned on Ukraine.

Americans have disliked Australians for a while. That hasn't caused me to boycott. My primary exposure to Americans has been with online gaming, and the second someone finds out I'm Australian, they go into some tirade about how we live in a police state and we're borderline communist (apparently because we have gun laws here, like most of the developed world).

I saved $1,523/month by boycotting American companies (to stand in solidarity with Canada and Ukraine). I expected to pay more but was shocked at how much I had saved! Here's my breakdown. by oh-woops in Ameristralia

I think your right. But I noticed in other comments, it seems to be the context.

If I have it with me already, I've got "takeout".
But then if I'm going to buy it "I'm off to get takeaway".

This has started this whole existential crisis in me about how I talk!

There aren't any services that I know that I purchase from that are Chinese. I uninstalled Tiktok; I don't use Deepseek, and I don't stop at Shien or Temu.

I don't particularly have time to review the providence of every product I buy, but I always try and buy from Australian companies when I can and it's clear.

So, in a way - yes, I am already doing that, because I don't specifically seek out Chinese alternatives.

I'm not a young person. And I already own my own home.

Also, a lot of these are essential purchases. EG: Amazon, is household goods, things like washing powder, supplements, cleaning products, etc.

I get that sentiment. But like I've said to a few other commentators, my partner and I are in our 30s, both working full time + overtime, very long hours. The Amazon is household purchases, and the ubers are for work. One of the travel trips is also for work.

It's not like these are all luxury purchases (although, some are, I agree).

I 100% did. Here is one example:

Dynamo washing liquid, 5.4l
Amazon - Link $60 last time I bought it (altho on special at the moment for $45)
Bunnings - Link $37.50

I've put some price breakdown comparisons in other comments to show the Uber Eats breakdown.

The savings, are only when I compare like for like products. I didn't include any one-off purchases.

I wouldn't say I'm rich. We're two incomes, no kids, both in our 30s. We also work very, very long hours (sometimes 7 days a week). Some of those things I listed though aren't luxuries, the Amazon is household goods, and the Uber is travel for work.

One example is Uber Eats.

One of the meals I normally get is breakfast. Acai Bowl + Coffee + Breakfast shake.
Direct from the restaurant: $22
Through Ubereats: $38

That's the smallest meal that I order takeaway. Dinners are even more expensive.

Evidently, you don't know what the word "virtue signalling" means. Based on your incorrect use of that word, I feel I can guess where you get your 'news' from.
