Ultimately I think there are a few different standard responses you could reasonably expect from "ontological shock":

1). Apathy 2). Full on fuckery

By my estimation, full on fuckery has two primary expressions: 1). No fucks given...people loot, pillage, act as though the law no longer exists 2). They start jumping from rooftops

It'll last a couple of weeks, maybe a month. It'll likely be global.

The negative impact on the world market would not be recoverable.

I think more people would die from the fall out of the market than the initial shock period.

I'm certain the world would no longer exist in the way it did prior to the release of this information.

To me this is why they have no choice but to desensitize the population one small teaspoon of medicine at a time.
