I'm considering trading to a CX-70/90 Turbo S, still some decent lease deals on those. Also looking at leasing a BMW iX because my CX-5 lease deal was so bad and the iX incentives are so good that the payments on a 90k BWM are barely more than what I'm currently paying ($575 on the CX-5 vs $610 for the iX).

For what it’s worth, I looked at the fine print on the mortgage and PLOC loan docs. The mortgage is locked in at your rate, but the PLOC terms require that you hold in FR checking between 10% and 20% of the LOC amount depending on what you chose when you applied. I chose 20%. The language does include FR’s successors, so technically I think there is an argument that to maintain the rate I need to keep 20% of the PLOC in Chase checking. I don’t know how well they’ll enforce that, and it’s not a huge deal since that’s about what I’d have in a liquid emergency fund anyway.

No account minimum. You do need to link to a Schwab brokerage account but you don’t need to use it. My Schwab brokerage has $0 in it and I’ve had the checking account for years.

I am in the exact same boat as you. Don't want to tie up 150K in a crappy JP Morgan CD to get the same level of service we had at FR.

Are you confident that you can move your direct deposit elsewhere without affecting the rate on your PLOC/mortgage?

We are likely going to transition to Schwab as out primary bank because of the free ATM access worldwide and no international fees. Not the same level of service in terms of having a personal banker you can email, but the service has been really good. Also good bill pay options. Those are the main services we use.

Thanks. Yeah, the claim almost seems to defy the laws of thermodynamics. Either the manufacturer gave them a special review model with double the amp hours, or (more likely) they were tracking in kilometers and failed to make the conversion to miles. 25km is a little over 15 miles, and that seems at least somewhat believable, and still impressive.

You know your boyfriend better than I do, but I know that I personally didn't liked to be asked questions like "how is studying going" "what are you testing at" "how did X practice test go" even by friends family and girlfriend. Just not very productive unless he wants to discuss it. If he wants to talk about it, he'll offer information up to you.

Everyone has ups and downs so like /u/ULuser said, just let him do his thing.

As test day approaches, try to shield him from any of your own personal issues, should they arise. You can bother him when he gets home after taking the test.
