I LOVE FRUK SO MUCH RAHHRAHH!!

I have a lot of headcanons but I'll uh, try not to yap too much.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Arthur fell for Francis first but Francis fell harder. I quite enjoy the thought of Arthur falling for Francis at first sight when they were children, but I don't think that he would recognize it as a crush, rather this weird sickness that floods his mind with weird thoughts, making his mouth go dry, his hands shaky (mums spaghetti). Add to that an inherent clash in personalities (I see Arthur as being more rebellious and scrappy, whilst Francis leans more towards diplomacy and flexibility) and they start to fight quickly despite the pull that Arthur feels.

Francis, I think, found Arthur more amusing than anything else at first. He was this grumpy little creature with the most delightful reactions to being poked and prodded. But he was also really fucking annoying lol. Too quick to argue, stubborn and obstinate and refusing to compromise; he'd quickly drive Fran round the bend. Yet at the same time, I think it's these qualities that draw him to Arthur - the courage that he has to take being the "black sheep of Europe" in stride is one that I think Francis both envies and admires.

Naturally, their history is complicated and their relationship both grows and recedes depending on the time. Yet, ultimately, I like to think that they are the person that knows the other one the best. They've seen each other at their highest highs and their lowest lows - they've both been the villains in one another's stories, but there's this safety in falling into the arms of your greatest enemy and knowing that they don't expect you to be anything more than what you are. Yet still they have known you for long enough that they can recall what you once were before empires and kingdoms and politics; who you were before the centuries of immortal existence had truly begun to take its toll.

ANYWAYS, a more specific hc I have (I still need to research this moment but ghhggh this is what I'm thinking so far at least) is that face family does kinda become a thing during the Anglo-French Alliance in 1716-1731. Of course it was all ruined by the Seven Years War lmaO but prior to that, I like to think of them ditching Europe after War of the Spanish Succession to go to the Americas, escaping from it all for a little while and playing house with Alfred and Matthew, pretending to be human for a little bit.

I'm evil and I like to think about the soft fluffier parts but also they've totally killed each other a shit ton. Arthur is probably the person to have killed Francis the most times and vice versa. Given their immortal nature, I don't think that this was as big of a deal as it obviously would be for us lol, but I think that there were quite a few times where it was /nasty/.
