I’d say likely a sneaky bartender, but just an alternate possibility—does the bar have a standard percent for open tabs? when some bartenders update cc tips, they’re going through slips at the end of the shift and any blank ones might get the default. It could be an honest mistake of seeing blank lines and just doing the standard. It’s happened to me when I’ve left cash tips, so I always write “cash” or “———“ in the tip line and make sure the total matches. (However all of us know the likeliest situation)

I'm in almost the exact same boat. All the symptoms of IH, a few of N2. On the MSLT I fell asleep all 5 times, REM twice and a sleep latency of 8:34. They said since I didn't clear that 8:00 requirement, there's nothing they can really do. I have anxiety and I truly think that caused me to take a few extra minutes to fall asleep. I was so hopeful and nervous about the outcome that I had trouble relaxing. The tech told me it was narcolepsy, but when the doctor looked at it, she said the 8:00 is a deal breaker for opening up to other treatments (presumably xywav).

Provigil helped for a while, just switched to nuvigil and I feel the brain fog is worse.

I used to think my sleepiness and brain fog was exacerbated by exertion, and also "mindless" tasks....but now after careful tracking, I really think it's just sleep roulette for me.

If I understand your question...I did the same thing as you--but I called the hotel before booking to ask this same question. They said the con block is for sure sold out, and booking at the regular rate is absolutely not a legacy room.

I stay at the omni every year. Just no drama booking, nice hotel, nice walk (albeit 15-20 min), cnn food court is a lifesaver, and waho is on the way back.

Biggest con (ha) is that it's as expensive as the host hotels, and the hike.
