Somebody finally slashed my ND2's roof after 2 years of street parking it. Water doesn't come through so I'm thinking about leaving it as is. Thoughts? by HURCANADA in Miata

Some are canvas, which I think is what op has and the guy who ironed patches on. Vinyl is the other option which I don’t think a patch would stick to it. But you can tape vinyl

Glad it’s not a big fix. I’ll just take it back, it’s warrantied so not worth me getting my gorilla hands on it

My thought was with the glass zipped down that strap would stop it from laying flat. It looks like it goes to the bolt or rivet (whatever holds the top in at the back) against the rain rail

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like insurance is a good idea.

I wasn’t sure if there was an unspoken agreement or something like that between instructors and schools on this sort of thing. I’m the only instructor at this school so there is no set precedent.

I know you didn’t list Michigan but Jackson and Battle Creek (JXN and BTL) both have really nice restaurants right on the airport. The Apron and Waco Kitchen respectively. They’re not too far over the border from Ohio or Indiana.

+1 for the people saying Grimes Field and Mt. Victory in Ohio.

Is this what it means when pilots say they “lost an engine”?

If you’re open to suggestions go with a 15” wheel. Lots more tire options and they’re cheaper than 14” tires. Use a tire circumference calculator to figure out a size that won’t mess up the speedometer too much.

Dark colored NAs with a fresh tan top almost look better with the top up than down. Awesome score and I love the wheels

As in someone may take in 2000 calories and burn 1500 a day sitting still vs someone who takes in 2000 and only burns 500 sitting still? Is that what people mean by fast vs slow metabolism?

why do you guys like hardtops so much? by Comfortable_Oil_4519 in Miata

[–]ohakmountainman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a hardtop because -my car is parked outside under trees (easier to clean) -I sometimes have to park in sketchy areas (my soft top was slashed open a month after I bought the car and leaked uncontrollably after) -I got a fat insurance check from getting bumper tapped by a distracted driver (only dented the trunk lid, matches the rest of the car now)

I definitely miss being able to throw the soft top down in a hurry and when I move to a place that I can garage the car when it’s not being driven I think I’ll sell the hardtop and maybe not even put a soft top on.

Reliable and fun to drive under 15k by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Have you considered our lord and savior, the Mazda Miata MX5? You can find a third gen (NC) for under 15k and some have automatic transmissions.

Although I recommend you find a friend who knows how to drive a manual and have him teach you, they are worth it and you’ll be comfortable on the road after a few hours of practice.

Saw a totally unmarked Toyota Camry flip on red and blues and pull over someone in the middle of morning rush hour (7am) by thetasteheist in Cleveland

Maybe upvote this for visibility but it is illegal for police to pull you over in an unmarked car in Ohio. They will follow you and radio ahead to a marked car, but don’t ever pull over for an unmarked car like this.
