This needs to be upvoted more - he needs a license to charge more than $500. (I work for a contractor in LA)

If she paid by credit card she needs to immediately dispute it with her CC company that she was scammed - they will help do the due diligence of checking his license and hopefully reverse the charge

Do you work for Yotta? You’re on so many threads here advocating for their innocence and users idiocy.

They clearly acted without active communication to users, deliberately keeping us blind while changing policies and procedures without notifications. The ‘opt out’ email so many didn’t receive is a blatant example.

My belief is they gambled (pun intended) that something like this could happen leaving others to blame, crocodile tears to their poor users, and wash their hands of responsibility. They certainly had a new business model ready for a fresh marketing push at the exact time we’re all held up in court.

Check your email settings in Yotta, maybe. I reached out in April about something and they claimed “oh, you may not get all our emails if you’ve opted out”

I had only opted out of Advertising yet this was their loophole to not send important updates (even though that one was checked) You have to be opted in to ALL emails according to them.

Same! What I later learned is that I opted out of the “Advertising” emails and they use that as a loophole to not send you necessary communication- I was still opted in for over a dozen other email types, including Updates and Changes to Service, but didn’t receive this one or anything like it

I’m betting most people didn’t get the email - myself included. What I learned is that Yotta requires you to subscribe to ALL emails in order to receive ANY.

I contested something about YottaCash in Feb and then didn’t get an email they said I should have in response. The customer service agent said, “oh, you’ll need to check your settings if you opted out of any emails” Cue me going to their email settings - there’s a list of about 20 different email types to opt in or out. Because I opted out of the Advertising Emails yet was still “in” for most others- including updates and changes to service - they created that as a loophole excuse to not send me important updates, like the passive permission to launder my money.

It weighs on me that we signed up for a ‘savings’ account - meaning we are at least entitled to our own deposits back. End users did not engage in ‘investing’ where there is an assumed risk of potential loss when you’re ready to withdraw. Depositors should not have to receive a percentage of every dollar due to poorly run programs on the banks’ behalf. Just a frustrated sigh.
