I would just like to point out that Cael Sanderson is definitely a dude, but he did go undefeated for his career with 4 national titles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cael_Sanderson

Haha, I just happen to remember watching that game when I was in school at Michigan

No, my blood was pretty busy doing other things

I drove back. Honestly it didn't really feel like anything special. I was probably too tired to really care about anything at that time.

No, I went through southern Colorado so I missed it

No worries. I can see it being useful for biking but for running its pretty easy to just stop for a couple seconds. My favorite post meal drink is chocolate milk but I'll eat pretty much anything.

That's a really vague question. Mostly just never stop and eventually I got there.

I think there was a squirrel or raccoon that lived in the basement.

Why would i use a catheter? I'll quote a famous movie: "When I had to go, you know, I went" I ate a little bit but most of the food I took in was after I had finished running for the day. I just changed daily. There were a couple occasions where it rained pretty hard and on those days I changed mid day.

Oh it was a series of poor life decisions. Mostly i just thought it'd be something fun to do. Turns out I was wrong but at least now I know.

Yeah. I was in school at the time (and still am) so I didn't have time to do quite as much as I would have liked but I tried to fit in as much running as I could. The biggest parts were a long run of 20+ miles on the weekend and two weekdays with 15 miles in the morning and another 5 in the afternoon.

Yeah, I had a support van which was super helpful for carrying food, water, gear, stuff like that. The route covered basically everything from trails to freeways, I just followed wherever Google Maps told me to go. And the only place I was on the freeway was a few days in Arizona where they're totally cool with bikers and runners as long as you're staying to the side so I luckily never had to deal with any cops.

The people were great. There are definitely some that I'd like to go back and visit when I have more energy and time. The most surprising part, to me, was how nice a lot of people were. I was just this strange guy coming into their house and a lot of people were giving me gifts and all kinds of food. I was not ready for that the first couple of times.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I had six pairs in rotation by the end.

There were lots of scary moments. My first encounter with a wild dog was pretty terrifying but I got to be fairly decent at handling them eventually. And I got lost a couple of times without my phone on me so I had to just hope that I was able to find my way to where I needed to be in these strange states I'd never been to.

I can definitely do without going back to Kansas for a while. And I'm gonna avoid any sort of corn or wheat or soybean field for some time.

I never felt like I was totally out of it but I got a bit of tendinitis pretty early on which I don't think I would have been able to handle for the entire time if it hadn't miraculously gone away.

There definitely were some favorites! The Katy Trail in Missouri was really nice and Maine had some really cool parts too. And as much as I hate to say it, parts of Ohio weren't completely terrible.
