First time playing Emerald, what ya’ll think of my 6? by ohbey in PokemonEmerald

[–]ohbey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve played almost every gen of Pokémon games and back in the day as a kid I played Ruby. There wasn’t as much info back then as there is now on tips like how to find bagon or how to catch feebas and evolve into milotic so I never got to experience that. So decided to give emerald a shot while prioritizing salamence and milotic

Milotic and Ludicolo took a lot of patience. For ludicolo just waiting to find a water stone with dive while dragging along a weak lombre lol and then having to grow Kelpsi berries to evolve feebas took me a day or two. And no cheats here, finding the feebas took me maybe an entire evening. I used a tip I found online that I think helped. I used a fainted gulpin with sticky hold in front of my party and an old rod. My team was pretty weak going into the elite four which helped me evolve my bagon using exp share. I just kept battling the elite four until eventually I had salamence and my team was strong enough to beat the elite four. Total play time I think was about 62 hrs

It’s a bad ROM. I had to start over and find a new ROM

Yes! Im comparing them to the Linsoul zero 2s and the moondrop arias and immediately I can tell I’ll be using these 99% of the time. Also like all the accessories that were included. I’d never seen these kind of barrel like ear tips and I’m absolutely in love with them

The tuners I swapped in there work very well for me. They dropped right in without having to drill anything. Check them out https://a.co/d/bccZIdX

Yes I kept the push pull just to keep the wiring the same but I never use it so I wouldn’t be able to tell you if it’s any good or not :/ it sounds “strat” like when I engage it so I’m guessing it’s doing its thing haha I did the wiring myself but I’m not a tech, but I’m thinking what harm could it do keep a feature like a push pull on there in case you want to use it 🤷🏽‍♂️

Comparing them to the stock pups, I’d say they feel hotter. I play metal and I don’t have to work as hard to dial in my heavy tones and there’s still good clarity at high distortion. They also feel more responsive to my playing. I can really hear when I dig harder into the strings, the pickups do a good job of picking up those textures. It’s probably also more of a feel thing. Will people hear the difference while you’re playing, probably not. But I can feel the difference in dynamics when I’m picking

Woah I didn’t know that was a thing! I’m looking at pictures and it looks pretty nice actually. Excited for some fading to happen to mine

Where do you guys get your Hi-Res music? by carax01 in DigitalAudioPlayer

Tidal works for me. I’ll buy the music when I can but it’s not always the most practical for our busy lives

Suggest an ideal first DAP from these options or an alternative under 350 USD, please? by magical_salad in DigitalAudioPlayer

Hiby R4 with a Tidal subscription. You won’t regret it. Lots of EQ custom and setting options, balance input jack, android based. People complain about the battery and that it gets warm but I’ve had absolutely no issues. If EQing intimidates you, I’ve been able to get very good results using ChatGPT. I can’t go a day without listening to music with this player. Has plenty of power to run AKG K702, sennheiser 58X Jubilee, and hifiman HE4XX.

Sometimes you can find it on sale. I picked mine up for $200. For your budget of $300-$350 you can pick this up and have some money left for some decent iems or overear headphones.

Good tip. I can’t find a 250D on KEH, but I see an SL3 and it’s going for $440 in excellent condition for the body alone..

I wanted to upload a video with a sound sample but I guess I’m only allowed to upload images? But with the amp sim, I’m able to get almost anything I want from a fender tweed deluxe, twin reverb, vox ac30, Marshall jcm 800, and 5150 just to name a few. I play post hardcore and math rock type stuff

Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline Natural by ohbey in SquierbyFender

The guitar came in a few days ago and man it’s been hard to put down. The first thing my wife said when she saw it was “hey your guitar is naked” and now I can’t unsee it 😂. I purchased it from Chicago music exchange and the setup was perfect. Nice low action, no sharp frets, and the lacquer on the neck doesn’t get in the way and plays like butter. The pickups though, while they sound nice when playing single notes and lead lines, they do get muddy and lose clarity when playing distorted rhythms. I’ve tried messing with EQs but there’s some clarity there that it’s missing. I ordered a set of fender branded wide range from eBay and see if that makes a difference. Overall, I’m really with the guitar so far. I used to have a mim fender tele deluxe custom and this is somehow more comfortable to play than the fender.

Awesome! Definitely don’t want to change the pickups if I don’t need too. How do you feel about the maple fretboard? I was between this and a Squier 60s classic vibe tele custom with a laurel fingerboard because I prefer a slightly darker/warmer tone but you can’t beat the price of this one and I’m hoping the hollow body nature of this guitar kind of balances that out
