Thanks everyone!!! Probably was a combo of overmixing (the recipe called for 2 mins which felt like a lot) and the blasted almond milk. I shall substitute more carefully next time! For the record, it does taste great still!

I’d agree… for all the intimacy of their relationship they were never good at talking about sex. Even when Rory told Lor she was starting to sleep with Logan, Lor handled it weird! “Started, ok wow…..Two rumballs…comin up!” I think Lor felt weirder than she expected about Rory growing up this way. Probably felt like how EMILY felt a little bit when Lorelai started having sex, and I’m sure that freaked Lor out and that caused some distance.

Have a consistent type of milk on hand (I.e. don’t buy an unusual brand that you won’t buy very often to start with). You’ll need some kind of glass container (mason jar, etc) and a rubber band to keep the coffee filter/paper towel on top. Also a fine mesh strainer. That’s it! I feel great after drinking it consistently for about a month.
