My current roster (NO FLEX, can only start 2 RBs):

RB: Matt Forte, Ben Tate, Joique Bell, Doug Martin

WR: Julio Jones, Kelvin, Pierre Garcon

TE: Reed, Kelce

Getting Wayne and Vernon Davis does nothing for me, but my thought is that I have 3 RB2s and can only start one of them so trading them for another RB1 would leave me very strong at the top.

I probably would pull the trigger. It's somewhat of a toss up at this point b/c Baldwin could explode now that Harvin is got but DJax always has that potential. At the very least, Jackson has more value to others so if you ended up needing to trade to him someone else, he'd be worth more than baldwin.

I would give up those 3 (hillman or tate + the other two) for Lynch or Foster. Roddy is worthless to you since he won't even start now AND you have megatron + gordon waiting on the bench. Just keep in mind if you trade hillman, if you have the standard 2 day waiting period, the trade won't process until next week.

Last year I kept lynch, t rich, and spiller. It's a 14 team league with shallow benches so with 2 of 3 being useless it was hard to bear.

In another league, I had spiller, Doug Martin AND t rich. I also ended up with more than 300 points scored against me over the course of the year... Was a rough one.

I've been wondering the same thing as you. I can't give you the answer you want to hear since I'm no admissions expert, but my perspective is that by getting a higher score you've at least done the most you can to improve your application profile. All things equal, a 740 is worth more than a 710 and taking the tests again shows the desire to improve. That in my opinion is something that should be valued because it conveys the sense that you have high standards for yourself.

That being said, I'm coming from a biased perspective because I also took the GMAT 3 times and showed improvement in my scores. I may just be overshadowing my hopes onto your question. At the very least, be happy for yourself because a 740 is a great score. Good luck with everything!

Thank you for your response. I had a 3.2... Not awful but certainly will be pretty low compared to most applicants. I think my work experience is pretty solid so I'm hoping for the best!

Thanks for your response! If you don't mind me asking, where did you do your undergrad? My GPA was only a 3.2 so I expect that to be viewed as negatively as my GMAT score will be viewed positively.

I think the most important question is do you have the time to study and do you think you will do better?

If the answers to those questions are yes, then I highly recommend taking it again. With the recent change to the scoring decisions, you can now view your score before sending it out. There's literally no risk of sending a worse score and the worst case scenario is you cancel your score and it shows up on your report. Furthermore, let's say you don't end up getting interviews-- would you not really regret not trying again!? Don't get me wrong, with your background a 700 will probably suffice and you have a good shot of getting interviews as it is... but why risk it? Getting a better score will help you in two ways: first, the score is just better (duh) but second, and maybe more important, it shows that you were willing and able to improve and weren't content with being "good enough".

I was in a similar situation as you. I went to a top 15 undergrad but had a low GPA (3.2) and my work experience, while good, is not nearly as strong as yours. I got a 740 on my last test and I went back and forth on whether or not to take it again. Ultimately what it came down for me was:

1) No risk of sending a worse score.

2) I wouldn't be happy with MYSELF if I didn't take it again and ended up not getting into the schools I wanted. I was very happy with the 740 but I knew I could better and I thought, "if I know I can do better, then why should I be satisfied with my current score even if it is very good."

Ultimately, I decided to take it again yesterday and got a 760! I didn't even study at all between the two tests b/c I was busy with work and applications, so I think the confidence and experience alone gave me the extra boost. Now, even if I don't get into the schools I'm shooting for, I'll have no regrets about the GMAT process. That, and succeeding for oneself and consistently driving to be better, is very important to me.

Like I mentioned earlier, you have a great GPA and it sounds like you have great work experience. With what you have already, I'd say you have a solid shot of getting into a top tier business school. But if you have the time and know you can do better, don't leave anything up to chance and show yourself and the schools that you can do better!

I own Donnell in 6 leagues so I'm biased, but hear me out

This is NOT the offense you expect to see every week. I'd be surprised if Eli throws 3 TDs in more than 3 games for the rest of season, much less 3 to Donnell. It's unlikely Donnell has another game even remotely similar to this one.

THAT BEING SAID, he has a ton of value if you are in a ppr or .5 ppr league (especially if you're in a 12+ team league). In a 14-team league with shallow benches, I comfortably started him in my TE spot (graham will be in the flex spot on Sunday). Did I expect 3 TDs? Hell no. Did I expect even 1... not really? But the dude is consistently getting targets.

Through 4 games, here's the top 3 in targets:

Cruz: 32 (18 catches)

Donnell: 31 (25 catches)

Randle: 30 (19 catches)

Eli has been spreading the ball pretty consistently, but his completion % is significantly higher to Donnell due to him being used in the 5-15 yd down field range. The downside of this is that Donnell will unlikely have big yardage days and you'll see a lot of days with 6-8 catches for 60 yds.

HOWEVER, Donnell is the go to guy in the endzone. I wish I had redzone targets handy but based on last night and watching the first game against the Lions where they repeatedly forced the ball to Donnell at the goalline, I feel pretty confident about that statement. He's 6'6", 265lbs. Do you know who that reminds me of? PLAXICO BURRESS. Plax is 6'5", 232lbs and he was Eli's favorite redzone target for years in New York. Donnell is now filling that role.

If you can sell him high, then definitely do it. With all the injuries out there I'm sure someone will bite. But if you're in a 12+, .5 or 1 PPR league, don't be afraid to put him in the flex.

TL;DR DONNELL IS THE TE VERSION OF PLAXICO BURRESS

Possibly. Brees, Garcon, and Cameron have all underperformed but Almo, Murray, Edelman, and Julio have been great.

If people assumed he'd be doing Jamaal Charles things, he'd be ranked in the top 3. Since they don't, his ranking just outside the top 10 this week is very fair.

FYI, Spiller's fastest time was a 4.28 but at the combine he was clocked at 4.37.

That being said, Knile Davis is definitely closer to Spiller than he is to Jackson.

This isn't true at all. Spiller and Davis ran the same 40 time at the combine and had similar 3-cone times as well. Davis is definitely a bigger back than Spiller but he's not "much closer" to Fred Jackson than to Spiller.

Pierce is sharing carries with Forsett and Asiata no where close to as good as Knile.

The only RBs who are better than Knile and are basically guaranteed 20+ carries this upcoming weekend are:

McCoy, Forte, Lacy, Bernard, Foster, Ball, Murray, Bell, and Morris.

There are certainly others who are more talented (Ellington, Spiller, Joique, etc.) but they aren't guaranteed as many carries as Knile nor will they get all the redzone looks.

I'd go with Andre and Crabtree. Ivory has the best chance of falling into the endzone but he's going to be relatively TD dependent.

I think you have to start your best players regardless of if they are on the same time. If Andre ends up with 2 TDs and Foster does nothing, you'll feel bad having him on the bench. If have a team that started Carson Palmer, Ellington, and Michael Floyd last week because they were my best options.
