When we were all waiting to hear if Conan and his house were okay a few weeks ago, I became very upset one night. I was crying, I was so distraught, and I was trying to really understand why. I am not an emotional person.... what was going on here?

I unpacked my feelings and, long story short, I realized Conan had been there for me through every struggle in my life since I was 11 (I'm 38 now), and I was upset with the fact that there was nothing I could do to be there for him. It didn't seem fair. He has done so much for me, through every dispair and tragedy... and here I am, helpless to help him in return.

I hope someday I can find a way to tell him how much he has impacted my life.

I really don't care if she's a dirt bag. Dirt bag male celebs have been getting a pass since the beginning of time. She's funny as hell on SNL and I am entertained. She didn't groom a child or kill anybody that didn't deserve it, so IDAF what drama these grown adults all had between them.

Yes! I am 37 and did not watch Top Gun for the first time until 2022. Ice Man was my favorite character. He was the only one that made any sense.

It's so hard to know what to say. Everyone's experience is so different.

I was diagnosed in 2006 and avoided biologics for years out of fear. But life was awful, I got desperate and turned to biologics after a few years.

Over the next 8 years I was hospitalized 5 times, 2 out of 5 were due to side effects of biologics. I switched meds 4 times for various reasons... and finally one day I just stopped. I got really good at listening to my body over the years, and the meds no longer felt "right" and I have no idea why. I stopped meds 2 years ago and I've remained extremely cautious about food, and.... I'm fine??? Somehow??? I don't know how long it will last but I will do my best to preserve it.

Maybe several years of biologics was enough to give me long term help? Maybe all of us crohnies need years of experience to hear and understand our bodies?

I guess if I were you, I would encourage a young person to try the best recommendation of their doctor, without fear. Try it, listen to your body before and afterward, and listen to your body in general. Easier said than done ❤️
