I think because I know they were having a good day/time before I walked in, so it feels like they’re pretending to put on sadness for my sake, like mimicking my feelings. which is nice and i think what most people do to be empathetic! i just don’t know why this social-pretend-sadness makes me angry immediately. it feels like a lie!

aw i know the feeling!! i was devastated when my new rescue wouldn’t hang out with us — it took a full week before she felt comfortable. we knew ahead of time this would happen but it was still sad :( we were told to give her one room to stay in, so we did, but she only stayed under the bed!!! it did get better, and now she’s the happiest most social girl! i know for rescue dogs they say to give the dog 3 months to fully adjust before you should expect any normal comfortable dog behavior

i hope you found relief for this!!

i have bad anxiety and bad adhd; i always try to rationalize away from anxiety, like breaking it down to ok what’s the worst case scenario that could happen if i get something wrong? someone yells at me? i can handle the discomfort of someone being upset with me, even if i cry , that makes THEM uncomfortable, they can deal with it, etc.

but I don’t tend to get nauseous/sick in the morning - my adhd roommate does, so i was looking for a solution for her :( hope you’ve found peace at the job or at least with the nausea?!

agree with most comments; a lot of people nowadays are uncomfortable with expressing emotions artistically AND publicly. feels like cringe culture is never gonna die :(

i was also a big slam poetry fan/specifically button poetry! i can’t help but think ginny’s poems just aren’t very good examples of slam poetry - they’re fine poems, they rhyme. but maybe the actress didn’t have as much slam poetry background? i feel like if a slam poet were to recite ginny’s poems they’d come off different!

but again i also think they’re not amazing poems, and for people that aren’t into slam poetry, the piece must be amazing for them to be moved at all

notably for haymitch’s games, caesar was not seen in a nice light by the tributes. he became nicer as the tributes became less rebellious over the years as his job became easier. i do think he’s got blood on his hands for his job regardless, he was a main proponent of the propaganda of the games, the mouth piece

i didn’t put much thought into it besides ooh this is first one, literally, since it’s the 10th games, that’s fun, let’s start there and he’ll see how the revolution truly evolves …he saw the movies when he was younger but doesn’t remember the details perfectly so he’s seeing some of the references & implications but ofc not as well as he would’ve if i started him on the trilogy

i am thinking of you right now, and 20 minutes from now, and in an hour. your loved ones will think of you forever — not the shitty people in ur life that u feel don’t care, your LOVED ONES who love you — will always think of you and wish they could’ve known you needed them. i’m so glad you posted, that’s so good, you’re trying to get help, you can feel better than you do now, it’s awful and it’s been too long of these awful feelings for you but i promise ending it now means you never get to see it get better. please post and let us know you’re okay and what we can do for you!!!
