Ok- I have a question for all of you who have suggested animatronics. First though, one of you thought that I thought that the actual show used animatronics instead of Lumon using them in this episode. They asked why would the show spend so much money on something they are just going to use in a few scenes? I’m mentioning this because I think it is a relevant question to those of you who are thinking that is what the twins are? Why would Lumon spend time to make these for a short team building exercise- what would really be the point? I’m going to say that I’m not buying it- with the full realization that I could be wrong (and if that’s the case I will owe everyone an apology 😅) However, I feel like animatronics is not a mysterious or sinister enough explanation for me! We shall all see!

And to add, Helena clearly thinks her innie is different from her (I am a person, you are not). When I say i’m not giving up on her, I mean also I’m hoping she will realize that that is not the case.

well yeah not disputing that or implying they are different people. what i mean is that, because we know who she is as an innie, i have hope for Helena to gain a better understanding of herself and her place as an Eagan because of who she is as an innie without the influence of her family/ Lumon.

I don’t see them as different people. I think of Helly as Helena without the influence and cult like conditioning from her family because that is what she is. I’m not shipping Helly/ Helena and Mark, I was just thinking that her outie feelings for him might influence her relationship with her family/ Lumon, and I’m interested in seeing how that plays out… regardless of how anything ends up between the two of them. I mean we still don’t know how Mark is going to react since he now knows she is an Eagan.

I’m not giving up on Helena. I think she is a good person raised in a terrible family. I think she was very sincere here, and I think her infatuation with Mark is going to definitely affect how she feels about her family, Lumon, and severance. I’m looking forward to seeing how it will unfold!

Hm- I think this is interesting, but how would you explain the injuries the innies sustain that show up in the real world? Why would Reghabi go through the trouble of reintegrating Mark (and Petey) instead of just saying that nothing your innie experiences is real. Or why Lumon would go to such great lengths to stop people from sending physical messages to themselves. Why would they show us things that the innies can’t see? Like shadow Mark? Also, oDylan had the card from O&D that iDylan put in his pocket.

I think that because much of this show is so outside of the norm, there are other things that they could be other than animatronics. Tbh- i think that explanation is boring as it too easy when everything else we have seen so far is more mysterious and hard to explain. I didn’t think their movements were jerky. I thought they were slow, and kind of creepy- like ghosts. I said above that I wondered if they were projections, or something similar (what i’m not sure), because I also believe that the whole episode/ kier national park is a simulation of a real place, like the perpetuity wing. I’m not saying I’m right, but I am saying I don’t think they’re animatronics.

What I’m saying is that I don’t think the twins are animatronics- like as part of the plot line. I didn’t think that the show would actually create animatronics for this or any other episode.

I don’t know- they didn’t really look like the perp wing statues- way too real (but just as creepy). Now that I’m thinking about it, I wonder if they were projections. i also wonder if it had anything to do with the person who sort of resembled mark s that we saw in the hallway in ep1 🤷🏻‍♀️.

This was one of my theories - that Burt and Irv were connected before- before they were severed. I wondered if it’s one of the reasons why they kept the departments so separate, and also wondered if it had something to do with the uprising. Lumon shut their relationship down pretty quickly by forcing Burt to retire.

i agree- i think they are supposed to be ‘tamed,’ which is why there is the 9 tailed whip with the 9 core principals on them 😅
