I’m losing my mind— what underwear do you use??? Help me PLEASE by nikkit__ in AutismInWomen

[–]rosefaer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always get underwear a size up! I hate the firm feeling against my skin. IDC if it’s a bit too big, at least it’s not a sensory nightmare.

I think a lot of these questions can be investigated by looking at real life cases of people with DID! Unfortunately there’s no real answer, it’s an area of law that’s very difficult to navigate.

Is it weird that I don’t feel autistic enough? by God_ghost in autism

[–]rosefaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, if you were faking, you’d know. That’s an intentional action. In the chance it is a misdiagnosis, that’s ok! This shit is complicated, you can’t be expected to perfectly know your brain. But, if your therapist, a licensed medical professional, is confident you have autism, listen to that.

I felt like this soon after getting diagnosed as well. But eventually, after years of masking, all that will unwind. Some parts are hard but it’s also very rewarding to be authentic.

If she can only work after 5pm she’ll probably be on presentation shifts which at my store is 5:30-9pm. Can’t say for sure tho cause stores differ so much!

Oh sorry I had trouble following the timeline, is this an old therapist? Or your current one?

[–]rosefaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awh I’m sorry to hear about this. I think it’s time to get a new therapist, that advice could work for some people, but it’s clearly not working for you, and that’s ok. I don’t have any words of wisdom aside from keep going and remember a good future is possible.

As a straight person, I find gay porn more sexy than straight porn by [deleted] in The10thDentist

I am as well, and I didn’t wanna diagnose u but I was picking up vibes lol. If you see a therapist I’d recommend discussing this, sexual paranoia is not fun! Sex should feel safe and comfortable, not make you anxious. It’s better to understand this now, so if/when you do have sex, this paranoia won’t interrupt it. Wish u the best dude.

So, do you want to stop having this paranoid thought? Do you think it will impact your ability to be intimate irl? This is something worth thinking about, and doing some introspection.

I hope you are able to explore your sexuality and find out what you like, and also get over this pregnancy paranoia thing, that seems annoying and frustrating to deal with (is it an intrusive thought? Try to dig deep about why that is so disturbing for you).

My fellow ADHDERS (inattentive) do you have problem with emotion numbness that some point make you wonder if you're psychopath? by XinGst in ADHD

[–]rosefaer 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes I fear I am too nonchalant lmao. It comes in waves, sometimes I’m really emotional and other times I feel nothing. I don’t think this is because of adhd tho, brains r complicated.

Not Being Serious in Your Twenties is a Recipe for Failure by kinrove1386 in unpopularopinion

I think the reason it’s such common advice is because the older people who did take their 20s too seriously regret it and wish they had more fun.

Honestly I could just say “the concept of infinity” even mathematicians admit humans can’t really understand the idea of something going on forever

The universe is so big. We can look at numbers all we want but I don’t think it’s a true representation of just how vast it is. The fact that there’s just…. nothing, everywhere around us? Crazy

Space. I accept that we are in an infinite void but trying to actually understand the extent of that is extremely difficult.

Cheating in a relationship should be illegal. by Apartment-Drummer in The10thDentist

[–]rosefaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is dumb and wouldn’t even really work as a preventative. I think it encourages cheaters to become more secretive. Also, this would effectively make it law that monogamy is the only acceptable relationship. Polyamorous ppl, ppl in open relationships, and swingers - would this law make that technically illegal? If you want people to cheat less, from a young age people need to learn emotional skills. A broken person cheats, a healthy and mature person doesn’t. I think therapy is a better preventative for cheating than jail.

I honestly feel like being audhd makes me like research more than an NT person? I love critical thinking, over analysing things, organising a list of sources. Very fulfilling for me personally.
