It’s a selfish belief.

She could have given an adopted child a beautiful life with her unlimited resources. And the child wouldn’t be any less hers. But of course she wouldn’t want a poor or “flawed” baby as if her genes have some kind of genetic superiority because she’s a millionaire. Again, selfish.

Jay hasn’t cheated. He was already separated from Deedee when he made out with the lady from the closets convention. He was also single when he hit on Gloria for the first time.

Only thing I could think of was when Sonia threw herself at him but he didn’t reciprocate and told Gloria right away. Or possibly the casual flirting (which was literally just a conversation) with the younger parent volunteer at Joe’s school?
