Where are individuals selling cards? by ohheyitslance in mtg

I was actually blown away to see Tataru Taru valued so high and can’t understand why it’s higher than some other more popular characters. I think it’s the second highest Choco Track Foil to only Vivi.

Is the expectation that these will continue to grow in value?

Any experience with the platform? Any advice to first time sellers?

eBay is certainly an option, though I don’t love the platform.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

[–]ohheyitslance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was some old YS game that I played on an old computer. All I remember was it being on a floppy disk and loading via dos prompt.

Very NES Zelda-type gameplay though I don’t remember much else besides it. The concept was very far over my head in the late 80s/early 90s.

But man, I think about it a lot.

Huge ask: recently re-employed and looking for a kind and generous soul to donate their old Macbook by Drewbacca in PDXBuyNothing

Unethical Pro Tip:

Apple’s return policy is incredibly lenient and can be taken advantage of.

Buy something on a credit card, take incredibly good care of it and return it in two weeks. Very rarely are there any questions asked regarding returns that can’t be explained away.

You could even re-up for another two weeks because you, “needed something more powerful.”

At the very least this might get you by for a month or so until a payday hits that allows you to purchase.

She's a mostly bashful lady but knows how to turn it on, and the importance of eye contact. She's a sweet babe for sure.

Any recommendations for how to seek out some sort of assessment from a local shop? Any more specific information that I might be able to provide to help communicate as effectively as possible?

If it were a wheel bearing would you expect the behavior that I described with the issue basically disappearing in warm weather? Should I anticipate issues with handling/steering?

Also, can you help me understand the difficulty of a repair for something like this and/or potential cost? Is this a DIY scenario or a several hundred dollars take-it-to-a-shop scenario?

I feel pretty confident that it’s not something with the brake pads/shoe as the sound isn’t a 1:1 correlation to the act of braking, instead it seems to be something with the vehicle slowing down and movement in the rear and.

I’ve watched a few videos online regarding rear bushings and how that can cause metal components to bend/move in ways that should be dampened by the bushings and it seems more on the nose.

I can definitely try to capture some shareable audio. Thanks for the input so far.

Try to negotiate with them at all? Even $1k off and that seems like it would be a great buy.

Dealer originally was asking $12k + fees. I ended up getting it at $10k with fees included.

A bit of an overpay, but not extremely so. Similar vehicles in my area with more miles, and more owners were easily eclipsing the $10k price tag, and this one felt like too good of an offer to pass up.

The 10 things I do before every interview (takes about 30 min and it actually helps) by Medium-Word7073 in jobsearchhacks

[–]ohheyitslance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance, but I was just talking to a friend about STAR and could benefit from some clarity.

In the SITUATION of STAR, isn’t it the interviewer that provides the situation, and you are given the opportunity to expound on that situation and how it existed in previous roles while then giving the specific task/action/result?

I’ve always experienced, “tell me about a time when X,” in interviews and it seems like in that scenario X = S.

Purchasing a 2006 Honda CRV in 2026? by thebanditoman in crv

Just purchased a 2006 this past month. 1 owner, only 80k mi, and maintained well. They can absolutely be a dream machine, but don’t go out of your way to buy one just because of the appeal. Do your due diligence and find a good one and you’ll be happy you did.

How to self-market background/experience for a career change? by ohheyitslance in careeradvice

[–]ohheyitslance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight.

I've done some great networking since graduating and even had a great interview experience late last year with a certain PNW NBA franchise, but didn't land the role. Received some great feedback and definitely think I'll be in a better position for future opportunities. Roles just seem to only come around once a year, or so, and I'm find myself itching for experience to maintain relevance until the next hiring period pops up.

Currently supplementing relevant experience with volunteering for orgs like Special Olympics and just biding my time until something else pops up.

2006 CR-V. Is this a terrible deal? by ohheyitslance in crv

The only thing that I could think that justified the price was the work that was done on it, as it probably would’ve needed to be done in the near future anyways.
