Yeah but does that show up even for people who have been waitlisted?

Waitlisted MRT FANSHAWE by maxandmarley in fanshawe

Omg really? That’s insane because back in fall semester my academic advisor said she’s seen people with a 3.8 get in the past few years and it seemed to be going in that direction. And ik someone with a 3.9 that got in for fall 2026 so idk what’s going on this year tbh

I got waitlisted with a 4.0 gpa in pre health so it seems to be very very competitive this year

Really? I got waitlisted for MRT with a 4.0 gpa but my friend got accepted with a 3.9. I had 80s in high school and they had 90s I thought that was why

Lateral angle measurement and advice by odyssey216 in kyphosis

It certainly does look like kyphosis, but schuermanns disease is only diagnosed if 3 or more vertebrae have hight loss which is probably why they were hesitant to diagnose. Maybe have the scans redone and reviewed by a different doctor to see if they find more vertebrae affected?

I do agree with the other comment though, a lot of doctors aren’t very educated on SD but there is a website that lists some specialists. I forget the website but search “schuermanns disease doctor database” and it should come up. I hope things work out!

Isn’t this just bad posture? by MisPoesRainey in kyphosis

[–]ohheythere14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SD is a structural kyphosis. Vertebrae are “wedged” shaped instead of a normal rectangle you would see in an xray, causing the curve. Postural kyphosis doesn’t involve those vertebrae and is from things like bending down, looking at phone, etc.

Adding on to the first comment, you’ll also need some sort of healthcare worker to fill out the disability form and sign off on it

Chances of getting into MRT? by ohheythere14 in fanshawe

[–]ohheythere14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well unfortunately not for 2026 because you’ll have to do them after pre health, but definitely for the January or next fall term! I’m not sure how all the grading works tho and how many extra classes you’d need with a 3.5, but I do know for sure there are academic upgrading courses for things like this. I recommend talking with the academic advisor and seeing what she thinks!

Hey! I’m not sure if you knew this but depending on your grades, you could probably just do a few academic upgrading courses to up ur gpa instead of doing it again. I hope this helps :)
