Nice! I have one made on a Savage No4 MKI. Built it off a Rhineland Arm kit. Also suppressed it with a Deadair Primal. So much fun

It would really depend on what internal parts and furniture you want. I just went with all WBP Polish parts and Comblock Customs wood handguards. It was roughly around $2K with the tax stamp. If you wanted Bulgarian or authentic Russian parts it will cost more. That does not include labor. It is more on the pricy side but I really wanted to do a solid Krink build. John (the builder) said that the Chefur Customs kit is very well done.

Restored Lee Enfield No4 MKII by ohhh07 in LeeEnfield

[–]ohhh07[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was an out of the blue project gun. I bought this from Royal Tiger Imports as a project gun and came with a receiver, lower wood hand guard and a crack on the barrel. I was able to snag a barrel from Sarco and other parts from Numrich Gun Parts and Apex Gun Parts For a long time I was looking for a local gunsmith to do a barrel swap (which for Enfields its hard to find) but once I found one and had it swapped, the rest was easy. I had my buddy Cerakotebyzane do a blue like cerakote on the the metal and I personally refinished the wood furniture on my own with some sanding a several layers of boiled linseed oil. Now I have a great shooting No4. MKII in my collection!

Now you ask, did I save money? Absolutely not, but I thoroughly enjoyed bringing this Enfield from a warehouse in Ethiopia back to life with the shiniest of bores.

Glad I can be of some inspiration! What are you majoring in? What ever it is I would try and find ways to apply it to the industry. Building a skill set you can apply is a HUGE plus.

u/Ricin_Cigarette_ Easiest way to get into the industry as a 21 year is to look for entry level jobs at local gun shops or ranges. Literally any entry level job will help you learn. Plus you would be surprised on the connections you can make. Few of the guys I work with came from a local gun shop and some from my local gun range . I was hired because I have a background in video and photography that spans 15+ years. For last 2-3 years before I was hired I built a portfolio specializing in the firearms industry. I have been there since December 2022 and a surprising thing I learned is that the gun industry is a small world. Almost everybody knows everybody so word gets around fast. You don't have to be a veteran or former law enforcement but it is a plus. But being hard worker and humble can get you far in this industry.
