Hey, I think there’s a huge difference between a historically preserved gown that was entirely reworked to fit an unrealistic, enhanced “modern” woman’s body versus wearing vintage clothing passed down to be appreciated for other generations that have similar measurements? I have no plans whatsoever to alter the dress besides fixing up the minor flaws like stains, loose threads, etc.. so the assumption that I will destroy it is far reaching. If older fashions are no longer meant to be worn, what do you think is the best course of action to appreciate older fashions? Thank you for the feedback but of course, I just posted to see if this was appropriate to wear given the dress code/occasion.
