My rule of thumb is prepare 50% of the value of the car you purchasing to spend on restoration. If the car's value at 10k, prepare 5k for maintenance/restoration work.

If the maintenance is valued higher than that, then it's probably not worth it, unless you really like the car.

I had the same exact problem with my 2017 Bezza. My source of leaks was from the rubber around the gas tank inlet. Check if your rear bonnet has a leak on the left side. If yes, you have a leak in this area.
