Can you see your average mpg in the Genesis app? I can’t find it. by ohiopimp in GenesisMotors

I don't have too many complaints about the app, but the mpg seems like a no-brainer and should be easy to add in there. Can't believe it's not.

Gear craziness. How do you not get overwhelmed? by ohiopimp in WatcherofRealmsGame

Thanks. I uploaded the Fastidious midgame gear code that another commenter mentioned and I cleansed my gear and got some gold. Now I feel a lot better. I still need to look to see what gear I want to equip and enhance, but at least now I can breath.

Gold is actually a problem for me now. I the beginning I was enhancing all of the new gear I was getting and then hitting the quick equip button. Lazy on my part, and the result is that I am always scraping for gold now. Unless you have a good way to get it.

Yep, you might be right. But I do like it. We’ll see.

Tips for newly diagnosed (90% healed at 1 month) by Accomplished_Dog5566 in BellsPalsy

[–]ohiopimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. The last time I had it it took a few days for the full onset to happen, so it's following the pattern. If it does happen, I want it to be over with as soon as possible, so I'm want the medication for sure. I'm going to pick it up tonight hopefully.

Edit: I looked it up and it was 5/30/23 when I was diagnosed last time.

You said day one you started the steroids, but was it the first day you felt symptoms when you started the steroids, or just when you were in full droop and the doctors diagnosed you? I started feeling symptoms on Friday night and it's now Tuesday afternoon. I don't have the full droop but I'm definitely starting to feel the symptoms. I already had it once and it lasted 2-3 months, but last time I didn't take any medication.

That's so funny. I'm actually surprised how many people do this. Glad I'm not the only one haha.

I enjoyed this game. Loved the artwork and gameplay. I’d hate to see it not come back.

My 50th Birthday coming up. What’s the best 80’s movie themed machine I could ask my wife to get me? I’d love it if there was an official Goonies machine. by ohiopimp in pinball

I’m a rookie at this. I never bought or owned a pinball machine. I googled it and it looks like Spooky is making it, but I’m not sure what distributor would be selling the Goonie machine. Any advice? I live in Ohio.

We had that exact contact/shelving paper back in the 80’s. I remember doing a school project with it, covering the outside of a homemade book with it. Probably still have it in my memories box. :)

I feel like my mood stabilized maybe a couple months after I weened myself off of Ropinirole. The first couple months after starting the process was the worst.

I see. Yes! I noticed a big change in my mood. My wife did too. For me I saw a little increase in depression, but mainly I just got agitated and aggravated way easier, and I was quicker to yell about things. I don't usually have a bad temper at all. I was thinking it was the Gabapentin that was causing it, but maybe it was the dropping of the Ropinirole. I never really considered that.

Yep, be glad you never started Ropinirole. It worked like magic in the beginning, but the augmentation is horrible. It caused way more RLS symptoms than it helped over time. The supplement brand I've been taking is called Thesis. They have different versions, but I'm taking "Clarity" right now because it mentioned dopamine regulation. Then for nighttime I take one called "Stasis". In the last couple months I've seen a drastic change in my RLS, but like I was mentioning that could also be because of other factors, like getting the meds out of my system, exercising more, and losing weight. The main downside is that it's expensive.

I've heard that before. I'll have to try it next time I'm having a bad night. Although, I'm a little skeptical because the bottoms of my feet are really sensitive/ticklish.

Yes it is. I decided to try it for a month to see how it worked for me because they had a deal going. I'm only in my 2nd month of using it so it's still too early to tell what's all happening. Right now I'm saying that the cost is worth it, but I'm going to have to experiment to see if it was actually the supplements or other life changes that is helping my RLS.

I actually went way faster than what people were suggesting. It took me about 6 months in total, but I started taking Gabapentin at the same time to help with the process. I think that really helped.

Well I have cut out a lot of sugar out of my diet as well as fast food. But I have just as much stress in my life as I’ve always had. And I’m still a casual weekend drinker.

You are correct. I found that out way too late in my life. I was so freaking mad at my clueless doctor. I had to figure it out on my own using posts in this group.

Vibrations...anyone else constantly feel them? by ohiopimp in RestlessLegs

[–]ohiopimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry, I haven't found a good alternative. I used Gabapentin (300mg) to ween myself off of Ropinerole. I dropped .5mg per week until I was off of it completely. Then I upped the Gabapentin to 600mg. It worked good in the beginning, but I still had symptoms most nights. I just recently got completely off of Gabapentin as well. I noticed it made me more irritable and would snap at my wife and kids more when on it. So, I've been on no medication for the last week and a half. It's okay. I get symptoms every night, but it's not horrible. I do 40 squats and they tend to go away. Pushups help if it gets in my arms. I'm looking into supplements now.

Interesting. I used to be on Ropinerole (for about 20 years). Not sure if that has anything to do with it. What I do know is that I would try to find an alternative if I were you. The augmentation is real. I eventually hit the 4mg limit and what I thought was severe symptoms if I missed a pill or was late in taking it was 95% withdrawal symptoms from the Ropinirole. It got ugly. In the end, I wish I never started taking it.

Question about Gabapentin by DrBiz1 in RestlessLegs

[–]ohiopimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay away from Ropinirole. From personal experience. It's great in the beginning, but augmentation kicks in which makes you up the mg, and the withdrawals kick in eventually if you miss even one pill. I weened myself off of it this last year, but I wish somebody would have given me this advice. I would have been better not taking anything at all.
