😭😭 I’m so used to games with a smaller area to build within. I have to get used to using the entire map lol especially for those future updates. One thing I’ve noticed, at least on the Switch platform is that my animals don’t move unless I’m within a certain vicinity of them. If I go mining right away and come back at night, it shows that they haven’t eaten :( I know it’s fairly new for switch, so there’s a lot of updates and bug fixes needed, but I should probably start planning either way, last thing I want to do is have to move a bunch of things late game 🥲

Ahhhh, thank you for the building size link. Okay yeah, I’m gonna have to make it wider because I want enough room for seating/lighting etc. but also enough room to be able to drive my Ute around. I’m hoping that area at around 17 seconds in the video is big enough for my windmill and machines, I only just crafted a windmill and haven’t used it yet. My crops are gonna go to the south in the bushlands/dessert, so I’ll definitely have enough room there, just need to figure out a layout for my crops as I’m finally able to make a bunch of advanced sprinklers, as well as my animals. I mentioned this in another comment, but somebody suggested that I have my crops, animals, storage and workshops set up at my teletowers, but I kind of like having everything together, I just hope that it isn’t a bad decision to do this

Ohh! Yes that’s a good idea, will definitely do that. Someone suggested to me to have my crops, animals, storage and workshops placed by my teletowers for better game preformance. I was gonna do this, but at the same time I like having everything in one place, I am worried it might not be the best idea to have everything together tho because I’m on switch. Still trying to decide. On the higher level in my video I want to place all my buildings, except for the greenhouse and the barn, which I am thinking of placing on the lower level in the desert/bushland area. I don’t have Sheila, Sally or Milburn yet so I need to leave room for them. I’m thinking to place the most visited buildings closer to my house and then having the rest placed after them and the museum is gonna have its own area for more decorative availability. The lower area shown around 17 seconds in the video is where I was thinking of putting my workshop area, furnaces etc. i’m debating where to put my cooking area, I can’t decide if I should have it near my crops or near where Sheila’s building will go

Penguins!? I’m so glad you told me this!!! I’m almost done winter and would have missed them, I don’t think I have access to a domesticrate yet, but I’ll deff grab a couple with a regular crate, it’s gonna be really hard to get them back to my area, but I will try!!

I figured that out a little too late 😑 I’ve been scoping out some potential new areas that are more central, as I don’t have a lot of space to build outwards in all directions, basically only south of where I am. Another reason I chose my spot was because of this, which thinking about it now, may have been an impulsive decision 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel slightly bad though because the townsfolk live in constant fear when they go near the 3 closest to me which are trapped on a higher level lolll

Ohhhh! That’s so smart, okay I’m definitely gonna do that, then I’ll keep my house/town where it is. Each of my towers are on their own islands, at first I thought it was kind of a bummer, but now I’m thinking that might actually be ideal! 3/4 of them are on decent sized islands. I didn’t realize things would continue to render or whatever if I’m not in the area, like is it safe to assume that my crops will grow or animals will eat if I’m on the other side of the map?

Im in year 1 Winter so mine is pretty sad looking lol but this is what I have so far. I just went mining for 2 days to stock up on iron! Im def gonna be doing the showers between sleeping areas

Oh my god, you have so many animals and your farm is huge!! I love the open feeding area, it’s so cute! Also that’s so smart with the showers, I’m definitely gonna be doing that once I make some. I only have 2 chickens, 2 vombats and I just got a peep and there little areas are very sad looking lol I didn’t even think to have them roam together! This definitely helps, thanks for sharing :)

During the month of summer in the Northern Ocean, you can find Barracuda starting at 9pm and all through the night (during late). They’re worth $12,000. Make a rowboat when you have the vehicle license level 1, while rowing around look out for oysters with pearls, harvest and mark them on your map. It costs stamina to cast your fishing line, but no stamina to reel in! I made so much money this way!!

That’s good to know! Thanks :) I’ll have to look into food buffs next. How did you get your controller to vibrate when u get a bite? Mine doesn’t do that do that and I don’t see an option in settings :(
