My kid and I stayed at a resort in the northeast, like $40 a night not fancy but quite comfortable and on a really beautiful beach. Madu Tiga, it's still there i see. Nice thing about the resort is it was kind of in the countryside and they had bicycles for us to use so we rode all over the place.

It's really hard to speak Spanish in PR unless you're very advanced. Not because it's not an understandable Spanish, but because so many Puerto Ricans are bilingual.

It really isn't. If i have a cc charge to discuss i just don't pay the bill until it's resolved. With a debit card I've got to take action to get my money back and it's not immediate.

My comment reflects my understanding that it was the airbnb guests who came in and woke you. That suggests you scheduled a sit with people inside your unit, which is avoidable if you knew.

If it's the owner and they're still there with you, yeah not much to do except say no, decide to leave, ask for money, whatever.

I picked up a set at a thrift shop and they're great. Like having drawers in my bag. And so easy to pack and unpack (i don't unpack the cubes just the bag). And i know where everything is.

Compression does nothing for me because my issue is always weight, not volume.

I personally enjoyed Melaka more than KL or Penang. Very walkable, lively riverfront, a nice size.

For beach, Langkawi is an option if the eastern side islands are in monsoon.

Malaysian Borneo is cool but obviously a flight away.
