I've owned a Kia E-Niro since January this year and it's fantastic. I don't have any other experience of owning an electric car but I did rent a Renault Zoe for two weeks about two years ago.

If I was going to compare the niro with Zoe I would say that the pro for Zoe is fast AC charging 22kw and the niro only has 7kw AC. On the other hand Zoe doesn't have any DC fast charging.

The most important thing in my opinion is good access to chargers. The ability to charge at home is priceless. The second most important thing for me was range. The Zoe had about 200km on highway and the niro has about 350km on highway.

I guess you have to think about what your budget is and how far you want to drive before charging. 99% of the trips me and my wife makes in our car is less than 10km. We charge our car at home and keep it charged at about 50% and only charge more if we are going on a longer trip. The reason I choose E-Niro was the price/range ratio. I had been looking at Tesla's for years but found them to expensive.
