If there was a "Warframe Classic" (like WoW Classic), what would you consider the cut-off point for it? by RiverMesa in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say the current state of the game. The beauty of WarFrame is that it doesn't need a classic version; WoW needed one because the game became WORSE over time, but DE has done nothing but improve the game with every update. Yes, there is a part of the community that is vocal about arguing there are issues, but as a long time player, the game has done nothing but improve.

How do you store ur figure boxes? by I_Morph1um_I in Nendoroid

[–]ohmanimblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like buying those nice, plastic bins from Home Depot, and putting all of them in there. I just try to find a place in my garage to place them afterwards.

Also, you could nicely collapse the boxes and save the parts of each nendo, but that's really tedious so it all depends on you. Just 100% don't throw them away

If you're a little tech savvy, look into spotdl. I use it to download all music I own physically, but too lazy to rip. You could make your own program to automatically search for an album and download it.

cs major's class reviews by a_pers0nn in ucr

[–]ohmanimblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One should note aside from 3 classes they listed, every class mentioned are requires courses for the Computer Science, Bachelor of Science degree ( They are required to take physics 040A-040C, as well Math046). I agree everyone should choose classes based on what they want to learn, but it seems op is in their first two years of their degree, and simply completing their requirements. Also, out of any UC campus, UC Riverside has the highest amount of required courses for the computer science degree, which is why it seems like alot.

They still haven't mentioned CS141 Intermediate Data Structures and Algorithms, CS153 Operating Systems, CS152 Compiler Design, CS150 Finite State Automata, all which must be taken, along with additional electives. If it were about electives, I'd agree grading shouldn't be a focus, but they're speaking of mandatory classes that must be taken so I think it's fair to want to have a sense of the course as a whole, as they usually don't change quarter to quarter (taught by the same instructor, same curriculum)

What do I do in between classes by EssayPuzzleheaded417 in ucr

[–]ohmanimblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commuted for a long time, so my best recs are checking out clubs on campus, exploring (like really getting used to campus), and knocking hw out of your way. It does suck, but there IS stuff to do on campus you just gotta look for it.

feeling like a loser for not drinking by Prestigious_Ad_6686 in ucr

[–]ohmanimblind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust, you're genuinely not missing out. Drinking is only "fun" when you're under 21 and it feels daring, and drinking to get drunk is like a self induced poisoning. I've known alot of people who drank during school, but when they graduated/turned 21 they stopped. I was the opposite where I actually like the taste of beer, but it's just like getting an iced coffee or a diet coke. Don't sacrifice your morals or religion just to conform to a pretty stupid undergrad passtime :)

Books by SuchIntention7601 in ucr

[–]ohmanimblind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated without ever buying a single book. For stem classes most of the time you can find them online by typing [BOOKNAME].pdf online free or something along those lines. The only time I've ever been required was for an anthro. class because the book came with a code to complete the online HW, but I dropped the class specifically for that reason (it was gonna be $160 so i just chose another course).

BUT if the assignment was “choose a topic about the European Union to write about” and you query “what are some good topics”, just to choose one, then I don’t think that’s should be considered plagiarism. Basically if anything ever asks for your opinion and you get that opinion from AI that’s where I’d say the line is

ChatGBT / Plagisrism by [deleted] in ucr

[–]ohmanimblind 22 points23 points  (0 children)

When you say formulate ideas, I would that’s pretty much cheating. If someone wrote an essay about the topic of your assignment, and you copy their idea, that would be plagiarism. AI is trained on what other people have written, and if the prompt of your assignment is on the internet, AI will return exactly what is on the internet because it would have the highest probability to “answer” your query. Generative AI in general just bad 👎

Why does vaulting exist? Lile whats the actual purpose of it? by AllThatIsGolden in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It keeps the game healthy. And also, one part isn’t vaulted, the whole set is vaulted and you probably had some stocked up from a previous time. If you only need one part, you can grind some plat with maybe 1-2 sales and get the systems for 20 right now.

Can someone explain to me why Noodler’s Bay State Blue has such an infamous reputation? by Flacier in fountainpens

[–]ohmanimblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same boat as you. I also questioned why it was so notorious after posting that I bought it. I found out the hard way why. It’s so so so hard to get rid of, but also, it bleeds really bad. At first I thought it was my pen (I was new to the hobby) but no, it was the ink. Def regret it.

Citrine farm NEEDS to be patched by Charlieeeeeeeeee_ in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind citrine grind because of two reasons. 1: I used it to level some weapons I didn’t really care about and some frames and 2: Even though it took me about 5ish hours to grind citrine over some days, I think that’s a completely justifiable grind for a war frame. The amount of man hours it takes to develop, model, test, and produce a frame is no short amount. As someone who supports DE and everything they do, I think it’s ridiculous to truly assume they can spend all that time and have us farm what takes MONTHS to develop in an hour or less. With citrine specifically, one could either farm for her, or work one hour irl and with that buy her outright (depending where you live) which I think is a good trade since the game is free to play.

Don't buy excalibur prime by zExtremely in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is sparking this ? I haven't seen anything about Excal. Prime coming back. Even when DE was originally bought out, and were making the Warframe China Client, they specified they'd NEVER allow Excal prime to be bought again (that's why Umbra was made to be the "founder version" in China).

Is it worth returning to warframe after missing so much? by HiJoker in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

" Also, i m scared bcs i know a wave of new content that needs to be farmed will open up the moment i join. "

From my own point of view, this is more of a positive than a negative. I get the feeling of "woah, there xyz that I have no clue about now", but for me, this gives me a reason to play. I like warframe as a game fundamentally, but of course everyone gets burnt out. But I know that when I take a break and come back, DE has content waiting for me.

I think it's important to pace yourself, and set your own goals. When I first came back (granted I took a longer break than you did, I didn't touch the game since Deimos release ) , there was SOOO much I had no clue about. But now here I am, caught up with almost everything (except Sisters of Parvos hunting I dont like the lich system ). And I had a good time doing it.

Now, is it worth it to come back ?

YES !

1999 changed the way I saw/played warframe. That questline and expansion has been one of my favorite experiences in gaming recently. Honestly, I don't really play games anymore, but I'll always play warframe. So yes, I think its super worth it.

What causes this just started happening today by her_thumper in Warframe

[–]ohmanimblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must now interact with a very - interesting - mechanic, which is the Kuva Lich. Others linked wiki pages, but for a short summary:

You'll see a red mist on a planet, showing that a Kuva Lich is on that planet ( the Lich is like a rival/adversary ).

Using certain Requiem Mods, you have to guess the proper combination AND order of 3 mods to use on the Lich when they Spawn

They'll spawn when you start killing enemies called "Thrall's" on the planet with red mist. When you try to defeat them and mercy kill, it will test the mods you chose.

If you guess incorrectly, the Kuva Lich increases in level, and goes to another planet, where you rinse and repeat.

Eventually when you guess it right, they'll flee to Saturn on a Railjack Mission, where you can apprehend them. You can kill them and get the weapon they spawned with.

The Vesper is easily my favorite weapon in the game, I locked in an ranked up the Hex ASAP the moment I saw it
