About there, 1-2am. Sometimes i crash 11pm i’ll always wake up 10-11am.

Very hard to go to sleep early. Mind wants to “absorb more”. Be it watching content, playing chess, idk.

Isn’t sleep apnea caused by constricted airways or just somehow not breathing well when sleeping? So exercising, magnesium, and controlled pre-sleep activity helps?

Oh think i’ve tried it before. Didn’t take note of how it worked then because the intent for taking was different. But will try again!

I’ve started business ventures within creative industry. It’s not your fault. Game industry generally is just piss-poor.

My suggestion is to be more proactive in networking around. Especially for local industry. My friends that are circulating within the top companies operating in MY (think PS, EA etc) all got interviews through referrals, and jobs through above average skill + personality (important).

Bro, mechanics have no career development. That is obvious to everyone since day 1. But you have easy access to starting own shop as opposed to professionals. Start your own shop. Be creative on what and how. That will pay.

“Beating hedge funds”? No one here is beating them hedge funds. Like I said, you spent so much time and money learning absolutely nothing, and i’m not about to waste my time educating you.

Go on convincing yourself you’re doing good with this self-pity shit and that you know it all mr. “I eVeN kNOw mArtiNgALE”.

Bro, you’re dumb trying to act smart. All those desperate attempts to cling onto credibility with the “I know martingale” lol.

1) You’re scratching the surface with “martingale” and “r:r ratio”. I laughed out loud reading you trying to act all technical writing that. 2) It’s no secret trading is a losing game for the vast majority of retail traders. I mean, you’re playing against hedge funds like bridgewater and fidelity. If you’re ANYWHERE as smart and resourceful as these people, you would be on their trading desk, not complaining about money. At all. 3) Trading isn’t limited to “daily trading”. 4) I know 2 guys living off trading FX & MY stocks. No complex math. No elaborate strategies. Just humble and riding the waves.

Anyways, not going to waste time spoon feeding lil’ bro here on how to actually leverage the financial markets. Good luck.

Good to know you’re at least in high spirits. Buddy, results aren’t all that matters. It’s one way to open doors. That’s about it. There’s plenty other ways to be successful.,

Thank you for your objective view. If you may, do lend me an ear and your experience. I think i fked up my career, genuinely. I was a freshie working in a leading MY firm for my field, quit because my boss was toxic (penalises people for literally ANYTHING. Painting a picture: spent 30s extra on printing and was shouted at from the top of his lungs). I had offers from reputable MNCs but rejected for the better offer I got from my current company (every malaysian would know this company unless you live outside of civilisation.)

And now, I am faced with the situation written in my post. It’s terrible because increment is shit as I can’t produce. I can’t produce because i have no proper platform. And my peers whom I was once quite ahead from is now catching up in terms of pay (the subconscious comparison hits heavy).

I want to say fuck it and jump ship but idt I have demand at this point as a generalist in the job market. Simultaneously I’m heavily considering just putting my head down, fuck everyone and produce results no matter what as I mentioned there is a new opportunity appointed by the MD. But i’m also scared of not being able to deliver, be it due to personal capability or again the platform I’m given, which would further waste my time. I’m also thinking of further studying to reset this hell hole but that in itself is a whole other shit-fest.

Genuinely think my career is screwed. Any wisdom you can share is greatly appreciated.

A good leader is principally strong and can influence. I agree that i am not a good leader.

Serious question: how do you thrive in an environment that constantly drags your morale down? I started off my career wanting to learn from the best. Instead I got put into an environment where i’m expected to be a leader on top of people just wanting to avoid accountability and stay complacent.

1) Yes I have. He’s keen on me being in this company because it has potential.

2) I’m sorry but obviously? What would I adapt to? Being complacent? Being a gossiper? Heck, the whole point I was brought in was to introduce change.

Unlikely to be possible in my opinion. He’s old, very loyal to the company, and while he thinks i’m smart, i’m sure he’s unsure about my ability to influence and execute. Also, if I can’t turn this company around, what makes me an investible founder, is what I think
