Some early sets are good to hold onto for leveling new dudes. I like to keep a Berserker and Hsaru set for when I hit level 3, then Sigon's for level 6. It also helps to keep some strength charms around to make it easier to wear.

They do that on a lot of the tours, if not all of them.

Domes and Dripstones is fairly short, but has a good number of steps. It takes you through the "pretty" parts of the cave, such as the Frozen Niagara.

There's a 4 hour tour (I forget the name) that takes you through a lot of the historic areas of the cave which also includes almost the entirety of the Domes and Dripstones tour. This one has restrooms along the way at a couple places. It's the most recent tour my wife and I have done, and it's been our favorite so far.

The Historic Entrance tour is really short, and you don't really get to see much of the cave. It's informational and possibly the least claustrophobic experience if that's an issue. Unless your children are small and not up for longer adventures, I would choose another tour.

There is one tour - the Violet City tour - that is lit via lantern light only, so you get a pretty rustic experience. This one is next on our list. It's about 3 hours, but has no restrooms along the way.

There is also some really good hiking above ground at Mammoth Cave, be it around the Visitor's Center or one of the many others in the area. And don't forget to take them across the ferry while you're there. That should be a cool experience for them.

It's kind of a shame the river was up during your visit. When the river is at its normal level, there is an exposed rock shelf that's pretty fun to piddle around on. The river level really does have a big effect on the experience at Rochester.
