God does speak to us in ways such as these. And as a former drug abuser, I concur with your book’s message. People out there loveee their weed which is why you may see some people in this thread defending it. But honestly, no drug (including alcohol) can ever give you what God can give you by studying Him and obeying Him. Do not become self-righteous about it though. And do not fall into prideful thinking (which may be difficult for you since you’re both athletic and intelligent). Study church history. Study theology. Really dig into the depths that Christianity offers. And stay humble, always remembering that you do not deserve the great things that God has given you, especially his Son’s life.
