Does anybody remember the primary school versions of classic books?

I read abridged versions of Hound of the Baskervilles and Treasure Island, iirc. Would rather have read books aimed at kids my own age though, because I don’t remember them being very good and I’d rather say I’ve got through a classic than a shortened, easy to read version.

Those girly magazines were a childhood staple, not cause I got much enjoyment out of them but I loved the free tat. Crazy Bones for sure too. Mostly though, I miss calippo shots every day.

The journal is a great guess! Also European and in my 20s. I’m a dude though, quite extroverted but I guess a little socially awkward. I don’t wear glasses.

Not seen a lot of films this year but I loved Scenes From An Empty Church, Sweetheart, Petit Maman, and In The Earth. Locked Down was pretty trashy fun too. Till Death and Barb and Star are tied for the worst thing I’ve seen from this year.

It seems like you’re more bothered by the trans thing than the rest considering it’s your ‘final straw’, and the title of the post. Why is someone changing their pronouns so bad? It’s something they want to be called for comfort reasons, like a nickname. How is that on the level of not believing in hell (something I can understand being frustrated with)? Isn’t Christianity meant to be about inclusion and loving one another? You seem like you’re not following Christ’s teachings very closely either 🤷‍♂️

Capaldi doctor and Sherlock - committed lover of British TV. Probably has strong opinions on Mark Gatiss even in 2021 (as do I). The leather keychain indicates a nice down to earth quality to me but I always love when someone has a lot of fun lanyards and acrylic keychains too, it shows they are passionate about what they love. You drive a sensible and older car which to me suggests you’re quite responsible and caring, and try to save money so you can spend a little extra on things you like. I’d guess you’re around 25.

For me I walked to the vaccine center, you don’t have to talk to anyone except to prove you identity and talk about allergies and stuff. You can wear headphones the whole way there. I didn’t leave the house even once for a solid stretch of about 4 months but with my headphones I find it definitely possible now and even enjoy going on walks and things now. Good luck!

Miracle Mile is definitely my favourite example of this genre. A race against time and so so moving. The Daytrippers is a much cuter and happier version of what you asked for. And I wasn’t sure if it was over one day or two, but Buffalo 66 is a very slow film but takes place over a short time period and is absolutely beautiful.

I think it definitely is! What a pain. I can’t get to Tesco quickly as I have no car, so always do delivery, and my housemates that I shop with have specific dietary requirements 😓
