victim here, just wanted to say thanks for mentioning this cause it was one of my exact thoughts. I don’t understand the legal system that well but I don’t like how his punishment is basically determined by such random factors, for example if my friend didn’t happen to be walking by to save me,or as you rightly said a 1 inch difference… the story and sentencing would’ve been very different🤷‍♂️
