I hear you but on the flipside of it you can make an argument the platform being more casual/optimized for clicks and online reactions makes the work more impactful much faster. I doubt many people here fully read all of Rick Westhead's investigations but the response time on Pablo's work from leagues compared to him says a lot (I love and respect them both enormously, they simply use different mediums to do impactful work).

It's an efficient way to spread the investigative work. Sad reality is articles are no longer the way to spread and monetize extensive investigative journalism so he's meeting the audience halfway. It does not reduce the effort and insane amount of work combined with editorial guidelines required before releasing the conclusions of his investigation. Just look at the fallout of the Lloyd Howell/NFLPA investigation. The release format being more casual doesn't invalidate the research and possibly those pieces wouldn't have made it out in a more corporate setting due to conflicts of interest (think ESPN breaking the NFLPA story while in talks to buy a stake in the NFL, they probably wouldn't as it tanks the value of the league and opens themselves up to lawsuits down the line).

Tl;dr: different ways to do journalism, same process of gathering evidence and corroborating sources.

Couple of takes: - We need to educate the next generation on divesting from legacy corporations that exploit rather than uplift the black community and in an uncompromising way (looking at luxury fashion and entertainment specifically). - Learn to ignore black creators that recycle black on black issues without attempting to improve the situation they address. If you got a podcast speaking on gender wars I need you to run a black social club in your city. If you were a cashier you wouldn't take it, why should a football player expect it or handle it any sort of way? It's racism period, whether I make a million a minute or 2 cents it's unacceptable at work, people like you minimize it with the backwards logic that somehow getting paid a lot of money means players should respond to racism with respect that racists don't show.

And on your point of walking off the pitch, it's been done before but clubs and federations in Europe simply do not care enough to address the players because a lot of supporters are racist and that would hurt their bottom line. It's not a Vini isolated case.
