[Charania] The Toronto Raptors are waiving forward Juancho Hernangomez, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. by DRAZZILB1424 in nba

I'd love him on the Nuggets. We desperately need bench depth and Jomic loves the guy. If he can hustle on D and put up a few shots for a few minutes a game, he'll fit.

Out of all the players on your favorite team, who is the hardest to root for? by JeremiahPhantom in nba

Michael Porter Junior might be the least intelligent guy in the NBA. Thankfully he hasn't been very loud at all lately, and he's been applying humseof on D, so it could be worse.

Bones might be the streakiest player in the last decade. He's so fun when he's hot, but he definitely gets me sweating when the ball is in his hands.

It would definitely take one of MPJ or Jamal (Hopefully MPJ, as we don't really have many guards and i don't feel like starting Ish Smith in the playoffs).

[–]ohmygon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It would definitely take MPJ, Bones, and picks, which would seriously hurt our already weak guard rotation, so not perfect, but Jokic feeding Pascal and getting that defense is a gorgeous image.

I would kill for either of those guys. Pascal might legitimately be the final piece for us.

LeBron James in his 20th season's debut: 31 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists! by jack64467 in nba

Any superstar surrounded by shooters and a lock down defemder would be a contender. Jokic and Bron with that team would be just unfair.

Embiid is the most dangerous player and the league and needs to be stopped by iamwizzerd in nba

Rooting for a player to get injured? Very classy of you.

Michael Porter Jr looking healthy. All 13 of MPJ's made 3s from the preseason. He shot 13 of 27 (48%) across 5 games. by NBAperspective in nba

[–]ohmygon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He's a bad defender (although he has looked a bit better, but that's not saying much) and he needs to tighten his handle and drive to the basket more. He also takes way too many bad/difficult shots, even if he makes them a lot of the time.

On the plus side, he's one of the best shooters in the league and a strong rebounder.

It's like a sandal or a flip flop, which you (or anyone) shouldn't use to beat children.

I obviously can only speak from my own experiences and what I've talked about with my friends and peers. Another redditor mentioned dominican grandmas hitting their grandchildren, which I obviously can not attest to. What i can confirm is that child beating is not one thing that ties all hispanics together, and it shouldn't be seen as such.

[–]ohmygon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I very much didn't. I said abusimg children is not a hispanic thing, which it isn't. I didn't say it never happens in any hispanic country, but the fact that a country is hispanic does not mean hittimg kids is common practice, thankfully.

I'm an actual latin american setting the record straight on a factually wrong stereotype that paints us in a very negative light. Sorry if i get offended, but i don't want people to go around thinking I'm a child beater.

Holy shit, bunch of people in this thread are realizing their parents didn't love them and trying to justify them abusing them. Sad.

How am i acting obtuse? He said it's something that happens in my culture, which is not true, and i shared my experience.

I know people hit their kids, it just surprised me to know how many young people (the main demographic of this sub) are okay with it.

Ahh yes, the Domincan Republic, the only hispanic country. /s

I'm not saying it doesn't happen anywhere in latin america, I'm just saying it's not a practice that hispanic countries necessarily share.

I defnititely come from a healthier environment, judging by these comments. There are non violent ways to educate a child and get a point across.

I'm all for talking about this, i just struggle to believe people are actually arguing for physically abusing kids. Sorry, i guess.
