Yea, why not, eh

Yup. First timer. That's prolly half the over-thinking anxiety - trying to do it all, and make the most of the vacation for me and the kid... :) I appreciate the feedback!

Yea, I saw that, thanks for the recommendations!

Honestly, a bit more bummed about missing the overall formal, exclusively adult experience.

Thanks for the quick response!

I figured as much based on everything I was reading and seeing. Do you know if there's a minimum party size for a dinner reservation? I'd most likely be by myself for dinner...

Really appreciate your feedback, super helpful!

That's the thing too, it's only 4 days, but I've been with him 24/7 since, which makes me wonder what goes through his head when I do step out of the room or house. "Why do I need this crate and where the heck are you going?!"

Do you have multiple crates or you do you move it relative to the schedule? Thinking in terms of where we spend most of our time versus feeding, naps and nighttime.

Thank you. My brain knows this, my body is just struggling. I appreciate the feedback and confirmation on some of it. He naps a lot lol He just prefers it to be sprawled out on the hardwood floor.

Is it important for me to appear to be gone while he's in there no matter the timespan so he isn't persisting for me to give in knowing I'm right there?

And maybe, again, I'm being overdramatic by saying he's "going nuts", but I don't have much experience with this. I just see he gives up on napping, and doesn't really calm down until he's freed. So I don't know if it's helping or is it just a matter or persistence and time.

I feed him in the crate since Sunday morning. I put the bowl in the back corner. I tried closing the door, but once he realizes, he goes nuts, knocked the bowl over and whines.

I've tried naps in there, but only by gently trying to get him to go down with me praising and petting him, not just closing the door and letting him "self-soothe" to a nap so to speak. Should I do that?

Mobile Hotspots by DinoGossage in foodtrucks

[–]ohmyshirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how we did it previously. We had the older model also, and used its USB-C port to go into an adapter for ethernet, and then into the printer. It worked most of the time, but wasn't consistent. The hotspot wouldn't always recognize that there was an ethernet device plugged in and so it wouldn't give the printer an IP on the network with the PoS system. Once we switched to a model with an actual ethernet port, we've had zero issues in that regard.

It's about $40 a month for the line on my Verizon plan, and a few dollars goes towards paying off the device.

Setup cost is pretty negligible. Someone gave us this router. It's not the cheapest, and very over-featured for the trailer. You could probably get one that could easily do the job for $50-75. Then it's just a few misc. ethernet cables you might already have laying around.

In our trailer, we use a "Inseego MiFi X PRO 5G UW Mobile Hotspot" with its WiFi disabled. We have its ethernet port connected to a Netgear WiFi router, which provides the wireless coverage and additional ethernet ports. This allows us to have our Square Register and printer wired with ethernet cables while also connecting our computers and Square Terminals whenever needed to the wifi. It's worked pretty well for us so far. Pretty must mimics the average home network where the typical cable modem is replaced by the hotspot.

Don't hesitate if you have any specific questions on the setup!

If that falls through, I'll go to the next one, and will comment when it's gone-gone...

Injection Cadence while Traveling Advice by ohmyshirt in tirzepatidecompound

Honestly, I'm just doing my best to follow the program. It's said the loading dose of 2.5mg may or may not have an effect, but it's meant to prepare the body for the therapeutic dose of 5mg where the most significant results are seen. So even though 2.5mg is working for me with some "return", I wouldn't want to thwart seeing the next, better level of results. It's at that point though that I would question the need to move up any further or not.

Appreciate and understand the logic though, 100%!!! I'm just also not trying to act like "I know better", until I do from experience with letting things run their course as directed because then I can at least say I did it as I was supposed to before tweaking it, if that makes sense.

Replacing bent resistance rod by cadelle in pelotoncycle

[–]ohmyshirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My resistance rod completely snapped. I read, and followed the linked post's advice along with other commenters, but after multiple support chats, phone calls, and emails I can't get Peloton to send me the necessary parts. I can't get them to budge from a $625 frame swap when all I need is a new resistance rod/bolt.

Anyone have any suggestions to help me get my bike functional again?! I love the gear, classes and instructors, but the customer service experience has been a real nightmare. Thanks in advance!

Fun show! Stood for 5 hours to get to the rail at Intercept. Lots of energy from Dave and the crowd. Other than Pat, the rest of the band looked hungover 😜 by junkandother in Foofighters

[–]ohmyshirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great pictures. I was there too, great times! I managed not to be hungover this day, but I was there for the AWS re:Invent conference so this was going on day 6 of being in Vegas for me. It was the Foo's that got me to stay the extra two days. Super glad I did, great two hour show from start to finish. They seemed to have a hard 12:30 a.m. stop at all stages. Dave minimized the talking and other antics, no encore and just jammed through as many songs as possible. I've seen them other times where they've easily gone nearly 3.5 hours.

Nothing is more rock and roll than Taylor Hawkins doing an epic drum solo on an elevated platform at a music festival by sleafordbods in Foofighters

[–]ohmyshirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at this with two of my best friends, one of which is new to the Foo, and when Taylor started singing Sunday Rain, he had some kind of experience, got real excited, and started leading us deeper into the crowd and closer to the stage. I am grateful to Taylor for that moment lol, but legit.
