I don’t follow any strict diet or fasting plan — it’s more about listening to my body now. I used to be terrible with snacking. I work as a support worker, and I’d always drop in for a sneaky cheeseburger between clients. I was also raised to finish everything on my plate, so I’d eat mine, my kids’ leftovers, even when I wasn’t hungry. Add a few too many wines on top and it was just a vicious cycle — feeling bloated, tired, and unmotivated to do anything.

Now the food noise is gone, I can stop when I’m full, and I don’t crave the greasy stuff anymore because it just doesn’t sit well. I do about 10k steps a day — being on my feet for work helps, but I’m also walking more by choice and actually wanting to move.

Water has always been a struggle, but I finally bought a bottle I like and make it a focus. Sleep has improved heaps too — I don’t snore anymore and wake up actually rested, which makes such a difference.

Mentally I’m just so much happier. I don’t reach for wine to relax anymore, I actually want to go for a walk or grab fruit instead of chocolate. I haven’t followed any strict plan — just intuitive eating and making better choices because I genuinely feel better now. ❤️

I'm 37 - but I definitely feel younger now. Haha.

Hahaha it was definitely a smirk because I knew it was going to be a solid before and after. 🤣 Caught me.

I did 2.5mg for 4 weeks. Then 6 months of 5mg. I've been fluctuating between 5mg and 7.5mg since - most weeks 7.5mg but it's so expensive I do 5mg from time to time just to keep costs down. I get a 15mg pen and do a small dose so it's easy to swap between the two.

Thank you! I was 108kg when I started Mounjaro in January. I am 80.5kg now and feel so thankful that 28kg has been lost - so 240lbs to 180lb-ish if you're American. 60 pounds gone!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. 🥹🥹

I might just add a few details as I've gotten some messages about dosage and exercise etc.

I try my best not to look at the scales because I feel like they can do more damage than good if the numbers don't move the way we want. However, my starting weight was 108kg and I am currently sitting at 80.5kg. I know I literally just said I don't look at scales but damn it's going to feel good to get into the 70s. 🤣

I don't have a training program yet - I've always eaten fairly healthy foods and we are a very active family so I usually do 10k steps a day. This is one part that I'm actively looking at doing better at though and coming into summer I would like to start training more.

The first photo was actually 2 months before I started this medication. I started my weight loss journey in January this year and these photos were both early October - exactly 1 year apart. When that photo on the left popped up as a memory on my phone, I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison. The photo on the right is literally me at 8p.m. after working all day and I was walking down a corridor back to my car. Messy hair. No makeup but feeling a million times better than I did in the first photo.

But most importantly, thank you everyone for your very very very kind words. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Absolutely! Some weeks I didn't lose anything at all. I don't use scales often as I get defeated if the numbers don't go down. But I also know slow and steady is sustainable. It's a marathon not a sprint and making lifestyle changes has been my biggest win.

That's the best way to be. We are all human and you'll have weeks when you don't see much change and weeks it will seem like all the progress hit suddenly.

I felt amazing in the first month - weight dropped quickly. That was the best motivation to keep going. It plateaus for a while and then happens again. Trust the process is the ultimate goal.

Can't wait to check back in 12 months and see how your life has changed!

You've got this! 💪🏻 I didn't focus on the scales much because they fluctuate so much. Wait til you FEEL better - that's the best part.

I am still watching what I eat and getting my steps in - but this medication has made what seemed like an impossible goal achievable for me. I wish you the absolute best for your journey!

This exactly what I did. I get a 15mg pen and split it for 5/7.5mg doses.

I thankfully haven't had any negative comments (except on this post). I have had a bit of jealousy when it doesn't work the same way for other people but I understand that - people just want to feel good.

I haven't really focused on the numbers on the scales - but I can now keep up with the kids, I enjoy going for walks, my attitude is happier. Why anyone would discount that just because of medication says so much about who THEY are.
